    They falsely made a loan in my name for treatment I didnt recieve. Im receiving collection notices from a company name *****, they say the creditor is ***********. Reference #**********

    This is to provide details of my understanding of the events that took place on Thursday, January 26, 2023.

    I had an appointment at Spring View Medical clinic in Metairie, LA. When I arrived my vitals were taken and an ultrasound was administered to determine blood flow. After that, I met with the doctor for an assessment. He advised that I have a blockage in my groin that is causing my ED problem. At that time he recommended getting the blood flow issue corrected by conducting sound wave therapy. I informed him that I know that these treatments can cost anywhere from $6,000 to $8,000.00 and that I cannot afford that kind of money.

    At that time the doctor took my cell phone and proceed to input information into the Momnt site (as I later found out). I did not ask what he was doing. I kept reiterating to the doctor that I did not have the funds even though he kept saying it was interest free for 24 months.

    The doctor then said that he would give me one treatment (which I assumed was at no charge) and that I could go home to discuss with my wife before making a final decision. He also said that he was providing documents regarding cost and giving me his business card so that I can call him after my decision.

    I signed papers giving them, what I thought was permission for one treatment. I was administered the treatment. The doctor never came back and was not provided any paperwork or his card.

    At the time I was leaving I asked the receptionist for the paperwork. His response was “What are you talking about?” as you are locked in for the full amount of $6,150.00. I told him that this was not what the doctor and I discussed. I did not receive the paperwork and did not schedule a return visit.

    I have not paid anything to this facility. The only account I have is from Momnt (**********).

    In my opinion - this doctor has committed fraud and has an unethical business practice. In other words he just lies.

    Spring View Medical Clinic offers Acoustic Wave Therapy in pursuit of correcting erectile dysfunction(ed)

    Spring View Medical Clinic advertises on television and radio offering a blood flow ultrasound and exam from our medical professional. Both of these are offered free of charge and without obligation to engage in the service. 

    *** ********* contacted our scheduling department to take advantage of the offer and learn more about Acoustic Wave Therapy. *** ********* came into our place of business and all of the advertised services were performed. Afterward, our clinical staff presented our offer, this included the specific number of treatments we would perform and the exact dollar amount it would take to perform them. We do this for every patient and *** ********* is no exception.

    This information was told to *** ********* verbally as well as presented to him in a physical document that he is required to sign before starting treatment. Spring View Medical Clinic does not offer free treatment of any kind since only coming in for one or two visits doesn't work on correcting ed. 

    Each patient is entitled to copies of their paperwork. We sincerely apologize that copies were not given to you upon your request. We are happy to accommodate this request and have copies prepared. 

    Spring View Medical Clinic recognizes Mr. Blanchard's satisfaction and will have the employee who assisted *** ********* with the transaction reach out to provide a satisfactory solution.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 19963066, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

    The response

    In the response from the business it stated the ultrasound and exam
    were offered free of charge.  Then they state that they do not offer
    free treatment of any kind.  So which is it?  First of all, there
    was no proposed action from the business with the exception of giving
    me my paperwork.  There was no mention of the fact that the doctor had
    my phone and was completing some document - which was not given back for
    me to sign (I assume that this was for the loan).  I did sign paperwork
    with the doctor for what I thought was my consent to have the one
    treatment done. The doctor then left and I never saw him again.  The
    technician performed the treatment.  I was then informed about being
    locked for all the treatments.  Let me be clear I DID NOT CONSENT TO ANY
    LOAN FOR ANY TREATMENT.  THE DOCTOR DID THIS BEHIND MY BACK.
    The
    only acceptable outcome is for Spring View to cancel this loan and be
    done.  I am not responsible for any services I did not receive.

    First visit with Spring View was October 28, 2022. Was assessed by a staff member, and when questioned him about the ultrasound being performed, he said a doctor would be in to discuss with us. Someone did come in to discuss the ultrasound and "proposed" treatment plan; however, we did not find out until a few visits later that it was not a doctor, it was the "finance guy." Since that time, I have asked to see a real doctor, and have repeatedly been told by the staff that they are "having trouble" getting doctors to come in. Did not know I was being seen by a "finance guy" for a medical condition. So the finance guy has assessed my medical condition, recommended treatments, used my phone to have me sign up for the financing, and their so-called treatments have not worked. I have told their staff each time I have gone in for treatment that the treatments are NOT working. I was assured by the finance guy that I was the perfect candidate, would be good with 6 treatments, but they would throw in tune-up treatments for free, and that results would last 8-10 years. I was given instructions for exercises, to drink lots of water for treatments to be effective. I have done the exercises and followed recommendations, and still no results. As I was misled to believe that I was being seen by a "doctor" on my initial visit, and have repeatedly requested to see a "doctor" since, but my request has not been met, I am contesting any charges by this company through their financing company, MOMNT. I was also promised a "free" gift of medication which I have repeatedly asked for, but have not received. Their claims that they are having trouble getting doctors in has been the explanation given when I ask for the "free" gift as promised. I am not satisfied with this clinic, their misrepresentations, and their inability to honor my repeated requests to be seen by a real doctor, and do not feel I should be responsible for payment to "their" finance company.
