    Monica ruined my wedding dress. It was a couple sizes too big in the chest, and I'm very petite, but she assured me it could be fixed. I have had appointment after appointment, and the dress never got any better, in fact it got increasingly worse! I have been going back for fittings every 2 weeks since January (keep in mind most people have 2-3 fittings at most) and my dress is nowhere near being wearable — my wedding is July 1! I finally gave up and called It's Sew Monica to let them know I would be coming to get the dress and told them NOT to do anything else to it! I went to get the dress and they insisted I pay before I was able to leave with the dress. I refused because the quality of work was so awful. We brought it to her so she could fix it and she did the complete opposite. I took the dress for a second opinion from another seamstress and she let me know it was completely ruined. I have to start ALL OVER. Two months before my wedding and I don't have a dress because Monica ruined mine. Furthermore, she had been lying to me telling me she had not cut any of the fabric off from where she had brought the dress in. Upon turning the dress completely inside out we discovered that she had cut EVERYTHING. There was nothing left to work with. We have called her multiple times to attempt to discuss this and have left messages for her to call us back and she will not get on the phone. Now I have to spend $1500 in a new dress and she doesn't even have the decency to give me a call and apologize. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! DON'T let her touch your dress!!!

    We had the worst possible experience having my daughter’s wedding dress altered at this business. We took the dress to only have the hem slightly shortened, some snaps put on the waist for the overskirt to attach, and a hook for the bustle. When we picked the dress up they told us nothing. We took the dress out when we made it home and they had put the overskirt soaking wet in the bag with the dress. They had washed it three times they told me later to try to remove stains that came from their floors being filthy although when I asked how the dress became so filthy they said they didn’t know. The dress was only tried on once at the bridal shop after we waited 6 months for it to be delivered so it was in pristine condition when we took it to be altered. The hem is not even. It is an inch shorter on one side and there is no extra length left to let back out. For some reason that we do not know, they attached 5 snaps to the butt of the dress( they were supposed to be attached at the waist). When they removed them, they left holes and runs in the satin. When I went to confront her about it, she said she could fix it all and to bring it back. I refused because this was gross negligence. We took the dress to another seamstress who says the back panels of the dress need to be completely redone. The bottom of the wedding dress itself is also filthy so we hope the stains can be removed. The overskirt we were told they didn’t know if they could remove the stains, so we have opted to buy a new one. I am sharing this review to hopefully save someone else the pain that my daughter went through with her dream dress being ruined less than 2 months before her wedding.
