Oct. 16, 2024 I picked up my 2-pc pink suit from D & D after paying $16.57 for cleaning. I took home, put in closet, took out to wear Feb. 9, 2025 & noticed texture & color change of fabric & stains still there. I placed back in closet. Contacted D & D Feb. 11, 2024 to inform of complaint. I was told to bring back in for reclean at no charge. After returning garment to cleaners, she removed tags & was getting ready to retap for cleaning when she saw it was cleaned in 2024 & said it was over 30 days & I had to pay again; that it was policy & pointed to a handwritten sign on the wall. I told her I wasn’t paying again for something I had paid for already & it was not cleaned. She said, “how do we know that you hadn’t worn it & restrained it?”. I told her that I hadn’t because the tags were still attached. I asked who could I talk to about this because this was unacceptable. She said the owner, but she’ll tell you the same thing. I told her that I was filing a complaint & wouldn’t be back. I grabbed my outfit & left. About an hour later, I got a call from a lady who said she was the owner. I forgot her name, but she reiterated about returning w/I 30 days, that was all cleaners’ policy, but she’d do it this 1 time. She did not apologize for the problem &said I could bring it back to be recleaned. I asked if it was at no charge, she said, “you can bring it back in, & we’ll take care of it.” I asked again, at no charge? & she said, yes. I took it back that evening around 4:15 & was told they would contact me when it was ready. I was texted next morning, the 12th around 10 a.m. my order was ready for pickup. I picked it up around 1:30 p.m. same day & examined before leaving only to find, with clerk looking on, faded stains, water marks still on it. Clerk commented that they must couldn’t get them out. I said it doesn’t look like they tried; plus it seems like more stains on it. She didn’t appear apologetic nor say anything. I thanked her & left upset.

As the customer stated this suit was brought in in October of last year.  Per the "printed" sign which hangs in all my locations, a customer has 30 days to return any item for any reason.  She, as she stated didn't return the suit until February of this year.  We cleaned the suit again free of charge anyway.  The stains which were her stains to begin with didn't come out the first time or the second.  We always try our best to remove any stains, but of course we cannot guarantee they will come out.

I dropped my clothes off at this business 2 weeks ago because they did some pants for me months ago that left a horrible scent of mildew and old clothes. My pants were only worn once and did not smell when I dropped them off. I left peacefully and thought maybe the scent would leave, it didn’t. I decided to take the pants back along with 2 dresses that I paid over $100 for both. Explained to the lady that the pants had an odor and they were still in the condition from when I picked them up the first time. She smelled them and stated she didn’t know what the smell was and assured me it will be taken care of. I picked my pants and dresses up and lo and behold, the pants smelled better, but the dresses were smelly. I paid for both the pants and the dresses. She told me to leave the dresses and assured me it will be taken care of. I went back today 09/05 to pick my dresses up and guess what? They still smell. It seems like the just let them sit out awhile hoping the smell would disappear, not clean. I asked the manager for my money back and her response was no because they didn’t smell to and she had a mask on by the way. She did not care and refused to give me my money back. I have to take my dresses to a different cleaner because the smell is bad. If I do not receive my money back, I will be forced to take further action against this company. It’s about principle. You should not be allowed to do bad work and get paid for it. Please do the right thing and refund me my money.

These dresses did have a smell of body odor when she picked them up.  They were sent back in and were cleaned again twice.  When she came to pick them up, they were free of the odor.  If she is smelling anything it would be the detergent we clean with, as they smell like every item we clean. Ms. **** had an extremely bad attitude the moment she walked in to pick up the dresses the second time.  She left calling my employee names and threatening her.  It is about principle, and I won't refund money when the service she ask for was received.  She ask for the smell to be removed and it was.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: An attitude from the beginning? Wow! What did you daughter say? Oh okay, you don’t know because she had a mask on. A devil will always throw a rock and hide his/her hands. This owner/mother response wouldn’t stand a chance in court. It’s really sad. BBB you may close this case, I’ve given this issue to the Lord and he has worked it out for me. Only he can handle these types of people. The sad part is the lady who gave me the dresses also smelled it, actually agreed after smelling it. Her words were, oh yeah I don’t know what that is, let me go get the manager. Also, I’ve never complained prior, actually took my smelly pants without a word to them. Took my pants back(because they smelled so bad) along with my dresses and explained the pants situation, she guaranteed the smell would be gone, and it was, but then it was transferred to my dresses. We all reap what we sow rather it’s good or bad. The supervisor mother is the owner, they are 2 of a kind. Imagine giving a person/business a second chance only for them to prove you right. Keep that money and take it straight to HELL with you. BBB, thank you!

      Sincerely,
