I went in to cancel my membership at this location shortly before Christmas 2024. I was moving across the country where there was not a convenient Hotworx location. I filled out the paperwork and left. It was one of a handful of things I had to do before leaving town. Then they kept charging me and charging me. When I called back them they said I had to pay them more to cancel - although they LOST my cancelation paperwork. This is ridiculous. They know I have not been coming in for months. I saw that I had paid for January. I thought that payment was for cancelation. Now, they say they don't know anything. They LOST the paperwork. I had a handful of things I had to do before I moved and this was one of them. It was just before Christmas and they lost it and now they want to keep charging. Ridiculous and evil. It is classic old school rip-off tactics. It shows zero customer service. They got their money but they want more-more-more.

On April 8th, 2024 myself and a friend decided to try the one time free trial at Hot Worx in Monroe, LA. That day ****** *** ****** (the owners) explained to us that we could pay in cash the $38 and put a card on file, but as soon as they put the card on file they would delete it. Now 2 months later, they are saying we owe $118 for the 2 months we have not paid and the $99 to cancel the account to not be charged anymore. They told us to our face we would only pay $38. That is the only reason we signed up. They had us sign contracts so that we would be stuck.
