On 4/4th/2025 I dropped off my Dixie mower at Moss Bluff Mower Sales. The mowers blades wouldn’t engage when prompted. I put down 475.00 to cover most of the repairs and maintenance requested. 3 weeks later I picked up my mower and on 5/8 I tried to mow my lawn for the first time since it picked it up from the shop and when I started it the entire mower began to violently shake. So I immediately turned off the mower and looked under the deck and found the clutch pully bolt was hanging out of the assembly and there was recent tooling marks on the bolt showing it was worked on. I called Moss Bluff Motors and complained that the mower was violently shaking and a bolt to the pully had come out. ******* the lady that took my call (manager)told me they weren’t responsible and that they hadn’t replaced the pully that was coming apart. The part they did replace however was the electrical wire assembly/harness to the clutch pully. In other words the part they replaced is attached to the part that came apart. ******* then repeatedly told me I didn’t know what I was talking about and that she regretted taking in my mower and they didn’t even service Dixie mowers. I told her the mower ran fine when I dropped it off only the blades weren’t engaging. I asked her if they weren’t qualified to work on Dixie Choppers or didn’t offer service for this manufacturer, why did she do the work? She told me because it was out of sympathy. She then said she was sending out her mechanics to pick it up and look at it. Once they returned it to me she said they replaced the bolt and told me I was going to have to find a Dixie service shop to repair the pully because she was never going to work on my mower again. She wouldn’t answer my question as to why they didn’t notice the failing pully from the start. She would only reply with I didn’t know what i was talking about and her business with me was finished that she wasn’t going to help me any further.
