    Yet another negative review. I attended a Crescent City Auction just as the pandemic was coming into fruition. When I went to pick up my armoire, Crescent told me that they had accidentally broken the glass and the pains in the two side doors and also broke off one inner positioned leg. They assured me that they would cover reasonable repair costs. So, I loaded my item and hauled it to ******** where it was impossible to find anyone to work on it during the pandemic. When I finally found a professional restorer, it took some time to get the repairs completed, which cost somewhere around $750. The repair cost was so low due to fact that I used a person who, although a master furniture restorer, was retired and he charged only $50 per hour rather than his pre-retirement rate of $150 per hour. I also did not charge Crescent for any refinishing. I treated them more than fair.When I presented them with the invoice, they claimed no knowledge of damaging the armoire and insisted that I speak with their attorney.Recently, I was informed that the majority of staff have quit. Which should tell you something. I should also add that during the auction i attended, I found out that their staff are allowed to bid on items, which leads to a conflict of interest with the consigners.In summary, a very dishonest business. Stay away!Where is the zero star rating?
