I reached out to the Anytime Fitness center located at ***************** (***********, ** *****) for a trial. When the initial tour was scheduled it was not completed because the guide hosting the tour was not available. As a result a second tour was scheduled. During the second tour I explained to the center that I was receiving duplicate messages and notifications regarding services despite the issue involving a tour that didn't take place. Assistance was provided to establish an account and to explain that the center knows when members utilize the system due to the center's tracking system. The time that the trial should have begun was not completed because of the situation, as well as because of natural disasters that resulted in emergency notifications and safety warnings. I reached out to the company to express I didn't complete the trial, nor was the first issue corrected when the initial tour was cancelled due to the guide not being available when the appointment was scheduled. Months later I continued to be charged and when I called the ***** number I was told the membership could only be cancelled by the center. I called the center to again indicate I was receiving charges for services that I was not able to receive or redeem. I received a scheduled appointment and the day of the appointment was charged again. I was told that the center would not refund the charges and that a pause would be placed on the account detailing what took place. After placing a pause on the account and working with my bank to stop any other drafts from happening I began receiving aggressive calls and notifications indicating I was in collections for an unpaid balance since my membership was still active and there was no indication of a pause or issue. I'm respectfully requesting a refund because I was charged for services that I didn't use following a tour that a representative from the center failed to cancel after a non-show from a guide based on a trial that could not be started.

      Better Business Bureau:

At this time, I have not been contacted by Anytime Fitness regarding complaint ID ********.

The only communication I received was from a third party agency indicating they were hired by Anytime Fitness to continue to collect from me for services I wasnt using. I alerted the agency I alerted the bank of the matter to ensure no other payment is drafted from my bank account.

I do not believe the business will respond. I appreciate the diligence and assistance from the Better Business Bureau.

      Regards,
