    This morning I paid SHRM ($270.75) so I could get a SHRM-CP Certification Exam. I found the price for a veteran which I am. It was only AFTER the purchase and lots of research (including having to call for the answer) did I find out there are additional fees for the exam materials for studying. Between $750-$1200. I am a disabled vet and unemployed and cannot afford the extra hidden fees. I called them less than 4 hours after purchasing to cancel the purchase and was told I only qualified for $120.00. I asked where this refund policy was and he guided me like this: From my receipt in my email, scroll down the email, click on SHRM Certification Handbook, then scroll to page 17, under refund policy... I would not have been able to review the refund policy had I not purchased the product, PLUS, that is a lot of clicking and scrolling to learn about the unfair practices. He stated it was due to, "Withdrawals occurring less than 30 days before the first day of the testing window". The testing window was labeled as Dec. 1, 2023 - Feb. 15, ****, but that I should give myself 3-4 months of studying before taking the exam. I find this to be unfair and shady business. Nowhere did I see, during my thorough examination that there would be additional fees in order to get materials for the exam itself. They should have been transparent upfront. Please help!! Thank you.
