I believe Club Wyndham are engaging in deceitful practices. My wife and I attended a seminar for Club Wyndham. At the very start, they asked for identification and a Credit Card. We decided not to buy, because prices were too high and yearly maintenace fees. Before leaving, we were offered a two year special Introductory Trial Offer. We were told all we had to pay was $40 per month, no interest, and at the end of two years, pay the baloon payment. Included was ******* points, all VIP privilages, and no anual maintenace fees. We thought it would be useful since the whole time we talked, it was about us going to ******. At no time were we informed Wyndham has no facilities in ****** and the package was only for U.S. Second, when I asked for copies of the paperwork, we were told it would be emailed to me within 24 hours. I souldn't call for 7-14 days, it would take that long to set up our account. After the 14 days, I called. I informed them I hadn't received our copy of the contract. I was told to check my spam and trash. I told them I empty my spam and trash at the first of each month. Finally got my copy and found out Club Wyndham has no resorts in ******, so I informed them we wanted out of the contract. I was informed it was to late to get out of the contract. After several arguments and talking to a couple of diffent ***** was told our account was paid in full. When I asked how, since nothing had yet been set up, I was given no explanation, was told we would be contacted soon.Days later we received a Wyndham Barclays credit card to be activated, but it had a $4036.50 balance. We did not request this Credit Card and didn't authorise the amount to be put on it at 20.5 interest rate. None of this was ever discussed in our talks with Club Wyndham. Called the card company, explained the situation and they cancelled the card. Said we would not be liable for charges we didn't authorize. Charge amount is still uner investigation.
