This is my first semester ever attending Louisiana tech university and so far i have not been having a good experience. I have submitted everything i needed to do on my end back in April when i first was accepted. it is now June and still my issues have not been resolved. I am unable to enroll in my fall classes due to a new system being implemented it’s been over a month since i got advised ive been to IT support as well last month trying to get access to workday still no resolution and school starts June 4th which is Tuesday. Also my fasfa has not been completed due to the new system implemented my transcripts hasn’t been provided to fasfa by admissions i called fasfa last month and was informed not to worry and that they should be transferring the information over soon due to the new system. Again school starts Tuesday I’ve emailed fasfa twice no response. It’s frustrating because my classes were already dropped i had to add them back and now I’m afraid i will be forced to pay for classes out of pocket until la tech get there system together which i don’t think is fair at all to the students. I have been working overtime to be ahead and get everything taken care of before school starts so i don’t have these issues. I haven’t been in school for 2 years i transferred from another university and i must say as a transfer student it has been more difficult than it was my freshman year to transition into a new environment. There’s no reason a student should have to deal with the fallback of the university not having there systems together prior to the new semester starting. You guys knew you were implementing a new system all tech issues should’ve been addressed prior to releasing the new system in my opinion because it’s causing a lot of issues and nobody seems to know how to resolve any of my issues due to this system change.
