    We liked the vets here for the most part. Recently, though prices seem to be going up and the front desk staff is not very pleasant. After they changed the name and renovated the lobby they started charging for things without being clear what they were charging for. My dog had a “routine” six month annual (?) that cost over $200. They made it sound like certain shots were included, but told me one of the shots was out of stock, and that I needed to come back at a later date. When I came back at a later date, they took my dog back to the room and gave her the shot. We walked out. No one said that we owed anything until I received a bill in the nail for a $40 canine flu shot that looked like it was included in the original six month visit. When I emailed the business, they did not respond. Now I’m receiving bills with late fees added to them. Seems clear what their mission is—it feels like it’s less about pet care and more about making money and that’s unfortunate.

    Hi Brooke and thank you for your review. This is Dr. Kristy ******, owner of Cypress Creek Animal Hospital. I was the owner as well when we were PetStar Animal Care. I purchased the business in 2017.
    I'm so sorry for the confusion in your case! I actually lowered my prices when I got out of the PetStar franchise, but I was unable to lower the price on the CIV (influenza) vaccine due to its high cost from the manufacturer. Products have increased in price due to the price increases that have come directly from the manufacturers. What I have done is lower the vaccine prices overall and made "vaccine packs" so that we give all core vaccines that are due at that time but the cost is split over the course of the year. I believe that one of my younger assistants was on your case, and he may have failed to communicate that the CIV vaccine was not included in that pack price. I'm terribly sorry for that miscommunication. You were charged that day, which is why my manager has been trying to reach you for payment.
    Due to the miscommunication, I will take that charge off of your account. I will also speak to my front desk staff regarding their communication with you. I haven't received any emails from you, but please feel free to email me directly at [email protected] if you have any further questions.     I love the genuineness and caring atmosphere that you feel when you walk thru the doors. My dog became very ill over the weekend. I was afraid she going to die. I called and explained what was going on and was told I could bring my dog in and she could stay until after work. The Vet explains everything going on, what she intends to do and goes over the cost. Very supportive and loving staff. I am glad to say my dog received great care and is recovering well. ??
