I had solor panels installed over 10years ago. My lease was up, the solar panels were removed but they left the brackets. I called positgen and they stated that they would remove the brackets , apply sealant, and warranty would be for 1 year for leaks. Sent me a contract to sign which I dont understand in the first place why would they sent stating that I give up all rights and accept all liability for any damages resulting in the removal of the remaining system components. None of this information was in the original agreement signed over *******. I have a new roof and posited is trying to protect themselves with this fraudulent contract. I just want those brackets off of my house. I want the brackets removed and the 1year warranty as discussed on the phone with ***** on a recorded line that he gave consent!

On December of 2024 I signed a "Traditional contract" with the solar company PosiGen, my salesman was fantastic and explained all details about the type of contract I was signing and I fully read it over. In one part it states that I would get a "Energy efficiency audit" meaning that they would come out and inspect my home for energy leaks, insulation, ect and fix any problems that they find resulting in a better energy efficient home to help lower my energy use. For this service Posigen provides, they charge me an extra $10 a month in the Traditional contracthis was supposed to take place before Posigen installed my solar panels. In April Posigen sent out their crew to install my solar panels, however no one had ever been sent out to do my "Energy efficient audit" so I mentioned that to the guy in charge of the crew that was installing my solar panels, except he didn't speak English and I only speak a little Spanish so he continued to instruct his crew to keep working. I came in and called Posigen customer service where I was told someone would contact me shortly to take care of my concerns. No one ever returned my call, I had to keep calling for a week before someone finally returned my call, they looked into my issues and told me that the contract that I signed "DID NOT HAVE the "Energy efficient audit" included in it. I looked over my contract again and saw where it clearly states I do have the "Traditional contract" and I even pay an extra $10 a month for this service. PosiGen does offer a contract called a "Redeployed contract" and that's when you agree to used solar panels and this contract has no Energy efficient audit, however that's not the contract I signed and it seems to me that an employee of Posigen should be able to see which contract I have and help get my "Energy efficient audit" done. Ive contacted Posigen numerous times over the last 6 months ans still no response or appointment for my " Energy efficient audit" but I'm paying for it, unfair

Posigen contacted me over the phone yesterday and apologized for overlooking the energy efficiency audit, said they will be sending someone out to get the audit started.

That is great however, I will not close this claim until action is taken or completed for the energy efficiency audit. I also would like to be compensated for all the trouble I have had to go through just to get Posigen to live up to their part of the contract.

I got my solar panels installed and have been waiting on the follow up call from posigen to get the banking info and payments going and have not heard back from them to verify everything. They have taken money out and have not returned the calls i have put in for a call back. I also have been trying to update my number with them and have been unsuccessful on that front as they still call my old number. But they are taking money out of accounts with out permission and that is an issue. I want to get this fixed but have been unsuccessful in getting anyone to return calls.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 23444836, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

This company is not attempting to help or fix these issues and will not take responsibility for the issues.  They did reach out during early morning and i missed the calls but when trying to call back they never answered, hung up after hello or just had conversations in the background making fun of all the people they have as clients,  I heard the term bitch, sucker, and many others and tons of giggling while i could hear every word...they ended the call once they realized i was on the phone, been given the run around on the setup call, calls ended without any communication, action or talking, and multiple times been just ignored.   I have still not received a call from a supervisor.  The only thing that has been fixed was the unauthorized charge that was returned.  This did not make me whole as the bank charged me a fee for the nonsense.

At this time it feels like the company is trying to scam people and not wanting to follow through with what they say they will do, don't fix the issues at hand, and don't care.

A request for a supervisor to call me back should not take a month to happen.  and the time frame that i'm available is 330pm est on as i work a job where i cannot have my phone on me.  I have explained this to them multiple times and it keeps falling on def ears.

Not sure what to do anymore.

      Regards,

      Chad Trask

In 2021 a Posi-*** ******** knocked on olmy door. All I ask was one question, would they atleast save me $80/month (the amount I pay monthly for the solar panels)? He assured me they would. Well I never saw a difference in my electric bill. I called a few times but was told I was using a lot of electricity. In 2023, I called and was ask to send them some of my electric bills. Found out, net metering NEVER came out & changed my meter. So Entergy came out & put a new meter and they were able to go back and give me credits. The credits were anywhere from $1.00-$10.00 per month. So I am not even saving $80 in 12 months.Again, my electric bill is still the same. I called Posi-*** & was told the same thing. I'm using a lot of electricity. We only have 2 people here. Earlier this year, Posi-*** called regarding my appointment. What appointment? So they CAN see something is wrong on their end. They DID find an issue with my solar panels & fixed it. On my very next bill they save me $7. Why would someone get solar panels that cost them money & dont save them any money? Not only that, when my contract is up in about 17 yrs, I dont even own them. I will have an option to buy them. So until then I can't even get the tax credit because I don't own them. They get the tax credit. YOU knocked on MY door. I didn't call you. They are costing me money I don't have. I want out of this contract. I dont want them. I am on a fixed income and they are costing me money, not saving me money. I would've never agreed to this. Who would? After going through all my electric bills since the solar pans were installed they have maybe saved me $10 on an electric bill.

This company is a scam with misleading sales practices. ** along with two of our referrals were misled by PosiGen and one of their **** about free solar panels, government grants, and backup power. ** were all told the same lies by the same rep. ** were told that one hour of sun would power our house for 24hrs eliminating the need for a generator, which was one of the reasons we got the panels. ** were planning to get a generator installed. At no point were we told we had to purchase a backup battery for the panels to work when the power went out. ** were also told that our entergy bill would be drastically reduced to the point entergy may be paying us for the use of the extra energy. Now we are stuck paying a high lease for more panels than needed and will never own along with still needing a generator.

      Mrs. Stafford,

Thank you for sending the utility bills over; unfortunately Posigen uses Google Suite not Microsoft Office so I cant access the Excel Spreadsheet sent over. Do you perhaps have the bills as PDF's these file types are universal so we dont have to convert them or need specific programs to view them. I hope to hear from you soon and look forward to receiving the bills.

I am a homeowner in *******, **, and I was misled by a representative of PosiGen regarding the installation of solar panels on my home. Around February 2024, a salesman approached me and several of my neighbors, stating that the solar panels were free, part of a government ****** and would drastically lower our energy bills. He also promised that the system would automatically kick in during power outages and charge using daylight. We trusted his word and signed a contract, which we now know was legally bindingbut the details we were given were entirely false or incomplete.Heres what actually happened:The panels were not free; we were entered into a financial agreement that was not clearly disclosed Battery backup, required for power during outages, was never mentionedand costs around $10,000 *********** stopped communicating shortly after installation The system was not operational for nearly 8 months Utility bills have not decreased as promised We cannot cancel the contract without paying thousands of dollars This is not just my experienceseveral neighbors were also affected in the exact same way. We feel targeted and deceived by PosiGens predatory and misleading sales practices.Desired Outcome:I am requesting one of the following resolutions:1.Immediate cancellation of the agreement without penalty and removal of the system at no cost to me 2.OR full remediation, including installation of the promised battery backup and a financial review/adjustment for all misleading statements and lost utility savings If this is not resolved promptly, I will continue to pursue action through the ****************************, ************************, Better Business Bureau, and media outlets.

I purchased a home that had an existing solar panel system on it which I was leasing from POSIGEN. After about 1 year in the residence I decided to replace the roof and solar panels. POSIGEN sold me the DECOTECH system which was the "Latest and Greatest" system available. The system need to be installed by a roofing crew specifically trained in this particular system. The physical installation itself did not pose any issues but the panels have never quite seemed to perform as I was lead to believe. In fact, my electric bill went up not down. I have had the system now for four years and are still seeing no benefit to installing the $40,000 roof and solar panel system.I have had POSIGEN out to run tests but they would always say it looks like it is performing as it should. I can access my solar production though an app and recently noticed one of the panels is producing 0 kwh so I called POSIGEN to schedule a service call. They charged me $200.00 for the service call but when the technician showed up, he said he was not able to look into it because it involved roofing issues and he did not have the equipment to work on it. Furthermore, he was not familiar with the Decotech solar system. After he told me he could not work on the system, I contacted *********************** at POSIGEN. She was the person that sold me the system. I sent her pictures of my production which she sent to their technical department. They all agreed the system was underproducing. They said it could either be defective or inefficient panels, a bad inverter or improper installation but would have to send out a crew to determine the actual issue(s).It has been two months since that call to *********************** and I still have no resolution. I have called and emailed POSIGEN numerous times, but have gotten no response. POSIGEN needs to either repair or replace my solar panel system I don't know if all solar companies operate the same way, but stay away from POSIGEN!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I was contacted by the company after filing a complaint. They promised clear communication and I again cant get a response. I was told I would be kept up to date and havent heard anything back since. I also inquired about another project at my property and was told they would get back to me with answers and never did.

      Dear ***** D'******,

I am pleased to inform you that we have just received permission to operate, and the documentation has been uploaded to your project. The system should be activated within the next few days. I will be monitoring the progress closely and will let you know as soon as the system is fully activated.

Regarding your battery, I have been informed that all battery projects have been stopped, and as a result, we will not be able to proceed with the installation at this time. In the future, a SolarEdge battery option may become available; however, there is no additional information or timeline available yet.

For now, I will proceed with canceling the battery portion of your agreement. I will be sure to keep you updated once the system is confirmed to be up and running, as well as when the battery agreement has been officially canceled.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions in the meantime.

One of the reasons I chose this company is because they offered a battery backup offer. I signed a contract for a battery system to be installed and now they are canceling my contract for the battery system. I feel this is a bait and switch scam.

Solar panel lease was sold to us with the objective of lowering our electricity bill. What was sold has not assisted with that objective. We have tried through Posigen customer service to find a resolution or solution to this issue. They have been lacking in providing any assistance. Calls and emails un-returned. The product sold to us has not met our needs. The design had changed multiple times during the sales effort. What was proposed was not what we received. Installation was poor. Efforts to be retained as customer have been ignored. This process has been ongoing for nearly two years now. The company has made next to no effort to assist us and retain us as a customer. The message from Posigen to BBB that Posigen cannot reach me is absolutely false. We spoke on Friday and I have forwarded all the pertinent emails regarding this issue to Posigen on Saturday. The bulk of this complaint has been Posigen's complete lack of communication and assistance. I have requested from Posigen that our communications going forward be over email and if a phone conversation is required that an email summary be sent afterword. There has been no discussion about a resolution just that another representative has been assigned to my issue and they are looking into it, yet again.

      Dear *** an Ma'am,

Below are the latest emails between me and Mr. ****** We are working diligently to come to a resolution in this matter. Mr. ***** agreed to give me the opportunity to reach a resolution, which I greatly appreciate. Mr. ***** said in our conversation that he would email over the electric bills, which I hope to receive soon.

      Thank you,
      Ms *******

On 4/28/2025 I sent this email to Mr.  Macri

Mr. *****, It was very informative speaking with you today about your experiences over the last two years. I understand your goal is to have a zero-dollar electric bill, and as I mentioned, I cannot promise zero electric bills. However, I want to reiterate that I stand behind our savings policy for all our customers, which is clearly outlined in your solar contract.
Again, please accept my apologies for the mishandling of your case. I assure you that I will be your dedicated agent and will see this matter through to resolution.

on 4/29/2025  The customer sent me this email:

I want a solar system that reduces my electric cost in a way that's worth paying your company for. If you can make that happen that's great. If that cannot happen that's fine too but I want Posigen to say that. Since installation this solar system has not performed to any degree that was pitched to us during the sales effort.

On 4/29/2030  I sent this email

Mr. ***** I am currently looking into the performance of your solar system. I wanted to let you know that I haven't received the attachments you mentioned in your previous conversation with me.
To help me troubleshoot and better understand your energy consumption prior to the solar installation, could you please send me copies of your electric bills for the last 12 months? This information will be very helpful. Thank you for your cooperation.

At this point there is no resolution. I have emailed over the bills. Posigen has been receiving bills from before the panels went in. Not sure what their data retention policy is or tracking of tickets and information. Posigen's record keeping and continuity of customer history is incredibly lacking.

Posigen seems to be unable to recognize the core of this complaint which is what was installed and what was sold are not the same thing. While the largest issue of all is the lack of communication and customer service. It shouldn't take two years for ******** to do something that was promised by Posigen after 6 months which is the cost analysis. I had requested the cost analysis long ago and that was never done until now. What I've been asking of Posigen prior to this complaint was if they could find a way to expand this system to near the original design that was proposed. The solar system has made very little impact on our electric bills. If Posigen's solar system cannot drastically reduce our electric bills it seems to me a valuable waste of roof top real estate that some other solar company could be using.

I did speak with Posigens representative and she has promised to look into this further. This is the same line from the last two people I had escalated my issue to after a year of begging customer service for help. We are now two years into these issues. One year of escalations. I have told Posigens representative that I would be willing to be patient and work with her on this. However I dont believe Posigen has the ability or desire to help and I do not see how they have the longevity to support us after two years of asking them to be a partner with us regarding our solar lease. We will see. My confidence in this company is beyond eroded. The tone of the conversation yesterday seemed to be more of a concern to reach a settlement agreement rather than provide a functioning system that lowers our electrical bills.

Posigen has sent a settlement agreement. Their primary driver at the moment is for me to go away along with this complaint. I have asked continuously for a review and redesign so that this solar system works to reduce our electric bill in a meaningful manner. During my most recent conversation with Ms. ****** (the representative from Posigen) she claimed there were engineers trying to call me. This is claim is incredibly false. If anyone has called me and not spoken to me they have not bothered to leave a message. Regardless that they haven't reached me on the phone I have indicated numerous times to Posigen representatives that I be contacted by email and if emails are not sufficient that our phone conversations be summarized in a follow up email. The emails are solely to keep everyone accountable. Ms. ****** and I had that conversation and we both agreed. The last few phone calls I've had with Ms. ****** have not been summarized in an email, scheduling to come to my house for the engineers to review has not been emailed. This is Posigen's continuous lack of accountability and lack of desire to support a product they were so eager to sell. Unless someone from Posigen can come up with a way to utilize the system we have to lower our electric bill I do not see why I should have to continue doing business with them. What Posigen had promised in sale's meetings to what they delivered and have left unsupported are vastly different.

Hi Mr. ******************* do appreciate your candid feedback, and going forward, I will compose your email summary while we are speaking.

In reply to our conversation on May 22, 2025, as I shared with you, I did see that on a number of occasions, our representatives had reached out to you. I was under the impression that no one had contacted you, and I apologize for that misunderstanding.

Let's clarify our conversation: I asked you to please let me know once you pay your delinquent electric bill, as this is a necessary step before we can move forward with our Recovery and Sales Team. You conveyed to me that you have been waiting on PosiGen, and now PosiGen can wait on you. I asked if you would be able to do so by today, Friday, May 23, 2025, so that we can keep the process moving. You indicated that you should have it done by then.

If you have already paid your past due electric bill, please let me know at your earliest convenience. The Team is waiting to hear so that they can contact you regarding the additional panels you are requesting.

Furthermore, I sent you a Settlement Agreement offering you an $8.00 promo for 12 months, along with another write-down from $70.00 per month to $50.00 per month for the duration of your lease. Mr. ****** as you are aware, I have sent you proof of your monthly savings and am now making these types of adjustments to assure you that PosiGen intends only goodwill towards you and your home.

Mr. ****** being a man of integrity, I know you can acknowledge that I have shown professionalism, care, as well as empathy with you, even during times when you have been understandably upset. I will continue to do so as we work towards a reasonable resolution in this matter.

      Best regards,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Let's start with the electric bill is not delinquent. It wasn't due until the 23rd. No one from Posigen engineering has left a voice mail. I am unsure they have the correct number than if they have been unable to contact me. I was under the impression that a savings summary was sent and revealed that we pay more than the system delivers. If that is not the case let's please get the savings analysis completed. This savings analysis review was part of the sales pitch that was supposed to be delivered early on. As I just learned that has still not been performed. The system has been online for over two years now. I recognize a settlement agreement has been sent. The crux of this complaint is the lack of support and cooperation from Posigen. I see nothing in the settlement agreement on how they plan to support their product going forward. I thought I would learn about it from the Posigen engineers and other staff that were working on this. For the record this is the third time we have been told this same story. Please I am asking that Posigen deliver a solar system that lowers our electric bills in a meaningful manner. That is what was sold to us. I am not asking for anything other than for Posigen to deliver what they have sold us.
