      This hotel iwasdigusting. I booked a double bed for my family and went to go into the first room ( Room 602) and the roaches were having a line dance in the room. I immediately called the front desk, and they moved to another room (room 1002) and this room smelled like molasses and the bug spray Raid ( roach spray) we decided to stay for that night because we were in a rush to get to family, when I woke up and left then came back, there were Roaches crawling on my luggage and bed sheets. I had to check all luggage to make sure there were no roaches in them, and went downstairs to discontinue my stay. they stated that "We dont have no raoches, you're the first to ever say that" I told them " Well let me be the first, I would like to leave" he then said, Well i can check you out tonight, but i dont know if we can get you refunded for Sunday and Monday" I then get a text message this morning stating " Get ready for check out" I disputed this with expedia and they called the hotel. The hotel lied and stated I stayed the entire time there, so my claim was denied. I posted a review and had a response from the general manager to send grievance through the website. I have yet to receive a response. I spent 476.92 plus the 100 dollar room holding fee that they refuse to give back, be use I did not want my family nor myself to stay in a roach infested hotel. I will NEVER go to Sams Town again. I ask that you refund me the full amount including the 100 dollar room holding fee. I have already filed a complaint with the Louisiana state attorney general and will do whatever I need to to get my money back.

      The Hotel Manager at Sam’s Town Reached out to me and apologized and stated that she will work on getting my refund resolved. She is the only person that took the time to be empathetic to me.

      We left Baton Rouge due to the hurricane and reserved a handicapped room at Sam’s town Shreveport. We arrived on the 10th and found that no valet was available, no handicapped parking was available, and no bellhop service was available to help with our bags. We could not physically stay there with the parking being so far away and no bag help. We had to then go to texas to find an available room. Kia the manager today told me it was my fault and we should have checked more closely on valet/handicap help for us. I have called the ACLU for their help as well. We need to protect handicapped people from KIA.

      Had a 4 day hotel stay booked from 7/21-7/25/24. I paid in full beforehand. Upon check in things were seemingly okay but we were given what would turn out to be a subpar room. We check in well after 7pm. The television remote did not work. The room had a musky,overall, unclean odor. It wasn't extremely clean and the toilet had stains as well as a very weak/poor flush. The real issue began upon waking the next morning and noticing a small brownish red bug crawling on the bed pillow which was, obviously, close to the headboard area. I called the front desk and ultimately dealt with someone named ***. She and security took an hour to come up to the room and by that time we had began getting dressed. We missed breakfast that day due to dealing with their substandard hotel. To make this long story short the staff at the hotel are VERY unprofessional based upon not just my experience but other customers reviews. *** seemed to be sarcastic and even smug about the fact that I didn't want to stay in a room with potential bed bugs which her and other staff openly admitted has been an issue in the past. We literally watched the bug for the entire time ensuring it remained in sight hoping they'd take it as a sample. Instead the security guy took a signed report and photo of it. We have photos and video as well. They refused to give me a refund and instead put me into another room. Reluctantly, it seems I had no choice but to remain the duration of the stay. We awoke the next morning to find bugs (roaches) crawling in multiple areas within the room. There's also photographic and video footage. We again took all belongings out of the room and this time ,when addressed, *** spoke with some mystery person who refused to come out but she came back to me, after a few minutes wait at the front desk, and offered me a refund and cancellation of the remaining stay. When asked for written documentation *** refused and said she couldn't give me anything but wld copy me on the email sent.
