In September of 2021 I was issued PCS orders through the USAF. During the process of moving; my contract with Anytime Fitness expired. I completed a full 18 month contract. After moving I noticed a reoccurring charge. After attempting multiple times to contact Anytime fitness, I was referred to the local club. Said club, continued to charge me a monthly membership fee as well as the yearly membership fee of $70; I was unable to change "Club" locations due to the fact there is only 1 club located on the entire MS Gulf coast; Further more, my membership was transferred clubs while is LA; without any disclosure by Anytime Fitness. Furthermore as a member I have not set foot inside of a Anytime Fitness since September 15, 2021. Their policy for cancellation seems inadequate for members of the Armed Forces, who are unable to be present and present orders and/or mail in a request when (mail is unavailable in certain locations). My complaint is once a contract is completed a member shouldn't be required to tender a notice of termination; 1. If the member initiates verbal and e-mail communication with the service provider indicating they are on official military orders and chose to terminate their service; 2. Actions required during military operations; should justify (30 days notice), especially in regards to contracts that have already been fulfilled.

    Hi *****,

I am the new manager at Anytime Fitness Broadmoor. I sincerely apologize that you have had this experience as it seems this happened before I took over managing this club. Unfortunately your home gym is listed as Anytime Fitness Bossier City, therefore, I cannot see any of your financial information to see where the payments were going. I do see that your last visit was 9Sep21 and there are 2 notes. 1 is from 30Nov22 that said Inactive Member-Canceled Follow Up-Not Interested -Moved and the other note said Spoke to ***** about cancel. Gave him address to send letter. Told him the last payment would be due 3/1/22. Said he was not paying and would take chances with collections-Dated 2/9/2022. Again, I am not sure how I can assist, as it seems this incident should be taken up with the Bossier City Anytime Fitness that holds your account. As a Military Spouse myself, we do not have contract memberships for Military Members. They are billed monthly as we know how unexpected things can be as far as PCS'ing, Deployments, TDY's, etc. I try to let all of our members know when they sign up that their membership can be transferred to another location depending on their usage. Again, I apologize that you have had this experience. Please let me know if there is anything we at Anytime Fitness Broadmoor can do to assist you.
