I hired That 1 Painter for an interior painting job and paid a premium expecting professional work and a reliable warranty. What I received was substandard quality, poor project management, and multiple broken promises.
The painters they sent were unprofessional and careless. Paint application was sloppy, prep work was clearly rushed, and I had to personally walk their representative (Jeromy) through post-job inspections three separate times. Even after these inspections, many issues remained unresolved.
To make matters worse, the painters caused over $2,000 worth of damage to my home—items that had to be deducted from the final invoice. I had to cut the job short because I was moving into the house and did not want these workers around my furniture or belongings—not because I feared theft, but because I feared more careless damage.
Despite Jeromy confirming in a phone call that my unfinished ceiling would be completed this week, no one has shown up and no follow-up has occurred. He apologized, said he was “doing everything by himself,” and that he was overwhelmed. I sympathize—but that’s a business management issue, not something the customer should suffer for. Can this company please give him help?
To make things worse, the paint is already cracking in several areas of my home after job completion, which strongly suggests improper surface prep or low-quality materials.
At this point, I feel completely misled and disappointed. I am:
Completion of the work in writing, with a hard deadline, by a competent crew
I chose That 1 Painter because I thought I was paying for peace of mind and a high level of service. What I received was exactly the opposite.
