Both my Daughter and I went to Dimitri Dermatology several months ago for a routine office visit regarding skin rash. See were billed for a procedure outside our normal office copay. The procedure is to shine a fluorescent light on you for 10 seconds. We did not agree to this and thought it was simply part of our office visit. This is a scam!!!!!!

******************** called our billing department on 11/16/2022 and stated he refuses to pay his balance of $89.08.  He has been sent 8 statements in total.  Unfortunately, if he doesn't pay towards his balance or pays his balance in full by 3/01/2023, we will have no other alternative but to send his account to a ****************** The only amount ******************** has paid since 2/18/2021 was his Office Visit Copay of $30.00.  Remaining balance as of today, 2/03/2023 is $89.08.

When ******************** called about his bill on 11/16/2022, he also discussed his daughters balance of ********************************  He stated he refuses to pay the balance of $120.43.  Eight (8) statements have been sent in total. Unfortunately, if this account does not get paid towards or paid in full by 3/01/2023, we will have no other alternative but to send this account to a ******************  The only amount paid on this account was the $30.00 copay at time of visit.

If our billing was a "scam", BCBS of La. would not have paid our claims or given any "allowed" amounts from our charges.  We do not fraudulently bill.  It seems ******************** would have contacted you before 1/2023 if he thought both him and his daughter was scammed at the doctor's ****** being their visits were on 2/1/2021 and 7/9/2021. He doesn't need to pay the medical bills in full.  He can pay something each month towards them to avoid being sent to the ******************  We always work with our patients regarding their medical bills.

I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to notify me.

    Respectfully,
