In December 2024 I hired Witten roofing company in West Monroe, to replace a roof on my house on ******** ***. I paid the invoice in full upon completion even tho there were two minor things that needed correction. I was assured they'd come back and take care of that. $6200 was the final bill which included all materials, labor, etc. Now it's March and I've received a certified letter informing me that ABC Supply ( from whom Witten ordered the materials) is placing a mechanics lien on my property because Witten didn't pay his supplier. They want $2700 for materials that were covered under the $6200 total. He has filed bankruptcy now, he won't answer my call, he has two other (so far!) lawsuits against him and more to come because I'm not the only one who he's involved in this despicable scheme.

      Dear Ms* **********,

                While we
fully understand your frustration with receiving a letter on the outstanding
bill for ABC Supply, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has
caused you.  Witten Roofing has paid the
outstanding invoice on your behalf in the amount of $2,750.84, as you will see evidenced
      by the attached paid invoice.

      Further, we
would like to make you aware that Witten Roofing has NOT filed bankruptcy and
is still an active business in the community.
Due to the unfortunate circumstances of a manager having debilitating
health issues and restructuring, changes are being made in the corporation.  Currently, Witten Roofing continues to move
forward, assisting homeowners with their property improvements.

      We appreciate
that you chose Witten Roofing for your home project and again apologize for the
inconvenience you have experienced.  Please rest assured that we have taken care of
the issue, and no lien has been placed on your home.

      Sincerely,
      ***** ******, President
      Witten

**** ***** came out and accepted the job. He then subcontracted the work out. It TOOK months for them to complete the work finally and it wasn't the best work, but it was done so we were happy. A few months went by and we finally had some substantial rain. It was leaking. I let **** know. There were lots of delayed responses and promises of sending the crew back out. They finally did come -- did more work on the roof said it was fixed. We get another rain and it was still leaking. We are well over a year after it's been installed, at this point, and they've been out looking and trying to repair it several times. It eventually leaks again and I got in touch with ****. His subcontracter threw a fit and said he was NEVER coming to our house again. I took him at his work and no longer answered calls when he would try and get in touch with me. **** said he would get someone else out. Late 2023 he did just that. Everytime I would tell **** about the leak I would always text him pictures of the inside roof leaking and the tiles that were damaged. When he sent this last guy I made reference to let me know when they need inside (so they could fix that), but he never did. They guy did come and do two days worth of work. **** sent me an invoice where he charged him like $3,000. It seemed to be fine, but in January we had our first MAJOR rain and it filled out the roof tiles with water and collapsed at least one of them. Water was pouring into the floor at one point. I was OVER dealing with **** and *******. So, I filed another claim with State Farm. Their adjuster came out checked out the roof and said she couldn't find any damage. She looked inside and showed me on the invoice how we didn't get what ******* said they would install. At this point, I just want it fixed. I have text messages from the whole years I've been dealing with him and pictures to back all of our exchanges.

Witten Roofing's project manager advised the homeowner that the roof could not be done as presented prior to the job.  Therefore it was done by another independent contractor using Witten Roofing's credentials.  Witten Roofing is currently working with the homeowner to try and resolve this matter.
