    On 6/13/2023, I paid a deposit of $2228.92 (50%) for a fence to be installed. The paperwork for the estimate and the deposit included the statement, "Deposit for any item are non-refundable." The new owner of Zachary Fence, ******* *********, offered to refund my deposit since I voiced my concerns with him for not returning my calls and his failure to commit to a date to install the fence. He sent numerous emails indicating he was sending, tried to send or sent my deposit to me. None of his claims turned out to be true. I still haven't received my refund of the deposit money he said he would send me. I have documents, text messages and emails to substantiate my claims.

    This check was hand delivered today as the customer states the mailed check was never received.  We have had several checks stolen from the mail and "washed" or "duplicated" recently.  We can only assume that this check was one of them also.  However, we do feel that we did the right thing as we refunded a deposit that was technically non-refundable.
