  Seal Harbor is the most unprofessional contractor, It is a nightmare to deal with them. Don't trust what they say for any agreements. The delivery is going to be delayed for sure, for me I unfortunately trusted them and in the end I have to live in an Airbnb for some time, as I leased out my existing apartment. The 1 year warranty is a sham, treat the house as what you see what you get, they are not going to fix any defect that come in the house. No matter what dont pay any money directly to Seal harbor, always put money in escrow, you would always want a way out if something happens. Before putting your hard earned money for any house, it would be much better to check with the experience of homebuyers of existing project.

  After many hours researching, I engaged Seal Harbor to demo, redesign and build out a unique high-end property I had recently purchased. The project is now complete, and I could not be more satisfied. We chose Seal Harbor primarily because of owner ******************* excellent communication/responsiveness and equally matched experience. **** and his team, most of whom have been at the Company for several years, were truly invested in my project. The Companys dedication, attention to detail, consideration of my questions and ability to find creative solutions around the many obstacles we were faced with are the qualities I genuinely appreciated and are indeed rare in this industry. **** and his team worked collaboratively with me on design, schedule and budget and made this major undertaking a much smoother experience than anticipated. The quality of workmanship was excellent. Further, and importantly, when there was the slightest issue, the team was receptive, investigated and took care of quickly. I was never in the dark. Never waited for a response to calls or emails. **** was always there both literally and figuratively. **** as an owner is hands on and those to whom he delegates are top quality. Labor pricing was competitive, yet reasonable and the Company is excellent working within an owners budget and being very clear about options and their cost. Very upfront and open about costs and I appreciate the candor which eliminated surprise invoices, change orders and the like. All around, Seal Harbor is a fantastic, solid, quality family run operation. I would highly recommend this Company to anyone considering it for their project. No construction project is without some level of frustration and stress; having a partner to work with such as Seal Harbor is essential. Five stars!

  We purchased a new house from Seal Harbor and would not wish the same experience on anyone. Almost immediately after we signed a purchase and sale agreement and paid them a substantial deposit, they proceeded to repeatedly break the terms of the contract and their policies in too many ways to list here. In response to our attempts to get them to respect our agreements, they would send ** hostile emails full of falsehoods and nonsense. Seal Harbor attempted to force ** to close on the property after giving us improper documentation that was in plain violation of our contract. When we refused, they tried - with no justification - to coerce ** into paying an additional $15,000 cash deposit. Less than two business days before closing, they produced a completely inaccurate "final change order" claiming that we owed them over $11,000, to be paid before closing. That was after assuring ** by email three weeks prior that we would probably (in their words) "be receiving a credit, not a bill," and after months of ** trying to get a timely accounting of credits and debits, which they should have provided according to their policies. Aside from their dishonest and deceptive business practices, they are disorganized and inept at running construction projects. We had to intervene many times to ensure the construction would meet the agreed specifications, and were still not fully successful in doing so. Any time estimates they provided were complete fiction. Seal Harbor has remained true to character after closing: they tried to weasel out of a clear-cut warranty claim by making easily disproved excuses, then said they would send someone to fix the problem. After multiple delays and no-shows, they stopped responding to our emails until we initiated a formal complaint. Our experience with Seal Harbor is far from unique. If you - for whatever reason - decide to take your chances with them, make sure to do some extra due diligence and speak to a few of their recent customers.
