  Hello, I'm filing this complaint again Massachusetts Bernedoodles to recoup $500 that our family paid as a premium for a "mini" bernedoodle. We were sold a dog estimated to be between ***** lbs. The price for a "mini" of this size was $500 more than a "standard" bernedoodle. We bought our puppy in the fall of 2021. Our dog is now over 70lbs. It took a lot of investigating and data gathering to discover that BOTH of her parents were over 65lbs (we were lied to about this information). Over the course of the past year or two I have noticed that there are MANY people posting on the Mass Bernedoodles social media page about how their "minis" are 70, 80, even 90lbs!! There must be hundreds of victims of this scam. This is frustrating because 1) it takes time to get to a dog's final weight so it would be pretty difficult to file a complaint in a timely way, and 2) when I reached out to them about the size of our dog they said "outliers happen", but now that I have looked more into it the ENTIRE liter is obviously standard size because their parents are standard size!I'm not sure what the best course of action is, but based on my rough count on social media this very same thing has happened to hundreds of people, likely resulting in over $1 million in scammed extra fees. I have emails and screen shots as evidence of this. I'm hoping you can help me get my $500 back.More importantly, how can we stop them from doing this?! We love our dog, obviously, but wanted a smaller one for our lifestyle. There are people who need smaller dogs for health and safety reasons and it is completely unethical to sell a living creature under such false pretenses with potentially very serious consequences.   Apologies for the weight issue. Unfortunately, Mother Nature is ultimately in charge of these things. While ***** tests genetically as a small poodle, hes also 15% large poodle so it looks like your boy falls within the 15%. Im happy to hear you love him regardless! Please find your $500 refund in PayPal dated today 8/1/24.
