He comes maybe one or two days a week, but only works for about 1-2 hours, with no progress to show.  We have complained to him many times about his no show, no progress etc.  He refuses to hire any help at this point, so it is just him.  We refuse to give him any more money.  Now he claims there are more change orders.  He told my wife that on 5/31/24.  She told him we have had no documentation from him since April.  He told me the same thing yesterday.  I told him that We were not going to put up with him trying to nickel & diming us. Included in the documents that were sent was a 2 page one with a list of the issues line by line of each of the documents from him.

He came yesterday afternoon, tacked up a couple of pieces of the blue siding (white siding is not on site).  We discussed other things about the outside work.  Then he said he had to go get something.  He was gone for several hours.  Took down what he had tacked up and put the "tracks" for the siding on two of the 3 sides.  This is a mobile home.  He is supposed take off the siding on the connecting wall to put up sheetrock.  He told my wife on 5/31, that until the 5th window (afterthought) came in he could do nothing much else.  He had started to take down the siding inside, but not very much.  Almost like a test to see how it would go.  She told him that he could at least be doing that much.  He agreed, but did not say what/when he would do it.  The last window was delivered yesterday.  My son & I will install that ourselves.  The door was put on, but it needs to be leveled.  He said he would put a shim in.  I said no.  He needs to take it off, frame & all and re-do it.  I don't thing he is going to do that.  Will probably do it ourselves.

If you have any more questions, let me know.  My wife corresponded with his aunt (her classmate).  She said that unfortunately, he has a bad reputation.  If we fire him, what is our recourse?

On Monday, 6/24/24, I texted ***** Prairie and followed up with an e-mail stating that we have terminated him.  No response.  He has not been on the here for at least 2-3 weeks.  Since the week before Memorial Day, he may have worked here about 6 hours.  He does not communicate with us by phone call, text, or e-mail.  The door was not level.  He said that he would just put a shim to level it.  I said that was not the right way to do it.  So a friend of mine came and took the door & frame off.  Then we noticed that the work he did around it would not pass inspection.  I had to purchase more wood to fix it correctly.  We are probably going to send a certified letter to him, & possibly follow up with the state attorney general's office.  I have attached the e-mail my wife sent and a couple pictures of the work that he had done on the door frame.

Thanks for any help you can give us.
