    A friend had an awning installed on her rear deck. I have wanted an awning also so I asked for the name of the company. I contacted ***** and he came to my home, took measurements, gave me a price (******** and left me with a sample book of fabrics to select what I wanted. Called him within a week or so and told him I had selected the pattern I wanted. He came to my home on July 13, 2022 and I gave him a check for $3,000.0 drawn on *************** ***** said he had a few jobs ahead of me and he would be back. I think it was the beginning of August when they installed the awning. I gave ***** a check for the balance $1,984,19 on August 9, 2022, also drawn on Santander.. On August 30, 2022, I sent ***** a text - telling him I loved the awning but it was making a loud banging noise when it closed and was this normal. Never got a response. Finally got in touch with him on Sept. 27, said it addition to the noise the awning was now leaking water from the arm joint onto the floor of the deck. My concern was unless I went out and opened the awning every time after it rained, rust would build up and become inoperable. I asked him to come out the next day and he said he would. On Sept. 28 I at `12:14 p.m. `sent him a text asking what time he would be at my house. Never came to my house. Called him several times and he never answered the phone. On Oct. 15th sent him a text stating that "I'm very disappointed in you and the way you conduct business; you never showed up or called- that is inexcusable." I did leave a review on his business saying what I mentioned above. . .
