On August 3, 2022 I received a call from *********************** a recruiter for Stepping Stones Group. She shared her company was looking for ESE Teachers who were interested in working in diverse locations in Broward and Dade County. I told her I was employed and was not seeking employment. Out of curiosity, I asked her how did she get to my profile and obtained my personal information. **************** responded she had access to data basis like Indeed. Did you set up a profile on Indeed? she asked. I answered, yes, long time ago. **************** then asked me if I knew of anyone who would like to work. She shared their salaries were slightly higher than what is being offered by public school districts. I told her I didn't know. However, I said I have a friend who is an SLP that has just retired. She said, Oh, that's excellent. You know, she said, Stepping Stones Group is paying ******* for referrals. I said, no, really? How is that possible? Do you have that in writing? Yes said, absolutely! She sent me a text and an email with the information. I gave her my friend's name who is working as an SLP in a *************** I spoke to the recruiter and she modified her tone and told me she did not handle Bonuses that I needed to call HR. I asked her for the number. She told me she didn't know it. I called their HR Department. The representative gave told me 4 different versions of the bonus information: The employee needed to be with them for 3 months. The employee needed to be full-time. They told me it was not ******* and that it was ******. They asked me to forward them the texts and the emails which I did. The representative escalated the request to *********************** who asked me for the same information as the first representative. I am on my 4th email and they keep ignoring my request. I have concluded this is a scam. If not, they have to pay me for the referral I gave them - *******

    To Whom it May Concern,

The Stepping Stones Group's referral program has specific policies surrounding regarding payouts.  We are sorry for the confusion about the referral program and if it was not clearly explained.  We offer $1,000 for referrals who work Full Time with us, and the amount is paid after 30 days of employment.  We offer $250 for referrals who work Part Time with us, and the amount is also paid after 30 days of employment.  The person that was referred is only working Part Time for The Stepping Stones Group which is why the amount was $250 and not $1,000.  We understand there was some confusion around the policies, and we are working to resolve the issue and are in the process of paying the full amount of $1,000 due to the confusion.  We are conducting additional training among our teams to ensure everyone understands the policies to avoid any confusion in the future.  Please reach out if you have any additional questions.

    Thanks,
