I leased 2 copier machines and one of them's lease expired. I contacted NBM and I asked to pick up the machine because the contract expired. Instead, I was told that I need to submit written notice to them that I want to cancel the lease. After I submitted the letter, I was told from the leasing company that the notice required 90 days so the lease was not terminated next 90 days so I need to pay 3 more months. I was not aware of any to these but I paid because I thought I might missed it in the contract. Meanwhile I asked a sales rep to arrange a pick up. I asked several times, called and left messages in the office, but I did not hear from them until 5 months later. Then I found out that since the machine has not picked up, I need to pay the monthly fee. I already paid 3 more month of the lease then added another 3 months of the fee. I contacted NBM but they do not reply to me with any solutions.I signed the leasing agreement with NBM, but the bank called CIT bills me for the monthly leasing fee. I did not remember signing a contract with CIT bank. I went in to CIT website and created my account, then I was able to look at the contract they are referring to. There was a contract I signed with NBM and I saw a page added into my contract. They made me sign only the first page of the contract and they added second page when they downloaded the leasing agreement into my account with CIT bank.I told CIT bank that I never saw the second page. I have two leases from NBM but there were no second page on both the agreements I signed. But CIT told me if I look closer to the page I signed, there is a sign said "page 2 of 1" at the bottom of the right side of the page. She said I should have made sure I had all the pages. So I am stuck and there is nothing else I can do but pay all the fees even if I tried to terminate the lease back in April 2023 but they refused to take care of it until Now. I had to pay total of 6 additional months to the lease, and shipping fee to ship back the copy machine.NBM will not tell you what you should do when the lease expires and you should know what to do. Please make sure you have all the pages, go to CIT bank website and download your copy of the contract. Otherwise you will be held accountable with all the terms and conditions without your knowledge but still you are fighting the loosing battle.
