      I'm going to start by saying I would give this store zero stars if I could. I am learning how to sew and I was told that Sewfisticated Discount Fabrics in Somerville was a great store to get fabrics. I went in there with my husband tonight, and the owner of the store, was extremely disrespected and patronizing of me. It astounded me because she was completely nice to the other people in the store (who were white). I was looking for some satin and I ask the owner (who looked and acted like spoiled milk, so she will be referred to as such) where I could find it, and she pointed me to the front of the store. None of the material that I saw looked like satin, so I went back to Spoiled Milk to let her know that I don't know which material is satin and that I needed her help, and she patronized me telling me that they were up front like she mentioned before. I ended up leaving the store because I felt very disrespected, but I went back in to call her out. All Spoiled Milk did was pet her dog who clearly wanted someone else to be its owner and look up at me and say "Sorry. I'm going to get the rest of my fabric from the car." Completely dismissing everything I said. I asked the other employee on staff asking if she is always like this or if it was an off day, and she told me that she has always been like this and to come back when she wasn't here. If this is how Spoiled Milk is going to treat her customers than I refuse to spend my money at this location and the other two in Dorchester and ********** (yeah, I did my research). She's rude, patronizing, and racist. I hope every sewing needle she uses to the end of her life breaks the moment she touches it with her ********* looking hands. And the worse part of this is, I still don't have the satin I was looking for!
