  Just from the NIFT responses below one can see that they are a bait and switch scam. Don't enter your email addresses, don't provide any personal information just delete any emails you receive from them.

  I am an owner of a company. Nift is sending our clients an email claiming we have given them a free gift card. We have never heard of Nift before and definitely haven't partnered with them. This is clearly a scam. We had to make an announcement to our clients to mark it as spam and not to click anything because we have never even heard of the company, so obviously we didn't offer gift cards through them. Don't let any of their responses to others or myself fool you. I own a company they are impersonating. We are a small business. They somehow got a client list through our booking website. I am in the process of having my lawyer send a cease and desist. If I could choose 0 stars, I would.

  Bait and Switch started with a random gift certificate from a business I had dealt with. It was all down hill - the gifts require subscriptions, or awful choices. Then my email filled up with these gift certificates. Are these even legal?

  Well, damn! I thought this site was fair and decent! It is most definitely not! I got a $30 gift certificate from NextDoor. I googled the company and saw the number of complaints. But I wasnt clear as to why. Seemed like many didnt read the complete product info. Their products do require a financial commitment. Either in the form of S&H fees and/or subscription plans! And of course, now they have your email address!!! If they reach out to me and start sending spam. Ill report them to the BBB!!!

  Same as others. NIFT offers nothing more than a bait and switch scheme being supported and propagated by the Nextdoor site. I even wrote a letter to *Nift" asking them to fix their issue which was that they denied me or refused me to use said coupon for a service of my choosing. The email address used is the one on their site that they instruct you to use. The email address is either fake, not monitored or dead as the email was rejected due to permanent error. The email used was help at gonift dot com. This is the email that was sent:
  Hello,
  I was supposedly given a $30 gift card from Nextdoor. I filled out the information asked for and I was given a small list of choices for a category of gifts. I chose "Fine Dining" because nothing else was even remotely suitable. Your site ignored my choice and I was given a choice between CBD gummies or an account with SiriusXM. Neither of these choices are either suitable or even remotely in the category of "Fine Dining" or any other type of dining. I understand that this can entirely be a scam to force people to be directed to things they don't want/need. If you have honest offerings for a dining establishment in my area, then please fulfill the gift card in the category requested. If this is simply a bait and switch I am not at all interested.
  No reply to this at all from NIFT and this is the email address they say to use on their website. They pretend to offer you choices, which apparently don't exist, and then try to force you to select subscription services that you don't need or want. It isn't a $30 gift card for anything. Just a way to capture an audience for a hard sell for services that are apparently hurting for business and hire a site like this to round up customers for them with false promises. As they are promoting this site and supporting them, Nextdoor loses any credibility of being an honest social media site. They got a star, they don't even deserve that. BBB needs to offer negative stars I guess.
