    Beginning in June of 2022, I (rental home owner) and three tenants began using Rentdrop for rent payment. In September, one tenant paid rent using Rentdrop, the funds were withdrawn from tenant account, but were never deposited to the landlord account. The funds definitely left the tenant account on September 8th. I was unable to log in to my Rentdrop account to see what was going on when the rent didn't show up in my account by the 15th of September. I tried for several days to contact Rentdrop through email as there is no way to contact them by phone. After leaving multiple messages, all polite and of a querying nature, I received a response from *******************, a co founder of Rentdrop, who stated that Rentdrop had shut down and that he was "pursuing other opportunities in the proptech space". He also stated that emails had been sent in August letting Rentdrop users know. I did not receive an email, nor did my tenant whose rent is missing, nor did two other tenants. I have been slow to get on board with electronic rent payment, but renters prefer to pay electronically; so when I read multiple articles about Rentdrop in reputable financial columns, I decided to give it a try. I am now trying to recover a missing rent payment and can get no further guidance or even acknowledgement from Rentdrop or *******************. I am very frustrated. My tenant is very frustrated. I contacted Plaid, a third party payment processor used by Rentdrop. ***** responded quickly and offered help and guidance within their scope, but directed me back to Rentdrop who they advised could track down the funds. Rentdrop has not tracked down the funds or responded.
