      In July of 2023, we signed a lease and sent a deposit check to YIF Management. Two weeks later, the management company had to terminate our lease because they were having trouble getting the previous tenant to leave. We were completely fine in doing this and thought we would be moving in in a couple months after it was resolved. They had to send us a check to refund us for the first, last and security deposit fee we paid ($5,787.10). We were in ***** at the time and they mailed it to us. In transit, the check was stolen and then signed and cashed fraudulently somewhere in I believe PA. We were not, and are still not, able to do anything to get the money back because it was not our bank account that was frauded, it was YIF Management and ** ********** bank accounts. We have spent the past year and a half being ghosted by ** and him giving us excuse after excuse without any resolution. He will not answer our calls and he will not show us any proof that he has tried to do anything to get this resolved. Mind you, after he cancelled the lease we then had to produce another almost $8,000 for move in costs for another apartment. We are beyond frustrated and have no idea what to do at this point to get any answer from him.
