Kevin Allen and his team did fantastic work on a substantial renovation project for our home, including installing a new master bathroom. We were thrilled with the outcome and recommended him to other people looking for contractors. Several months after the project was completed the shower developed a small leak, coming out through the ceiling below. Within two hours of texting Kevin, he had the original project manager, Dave, at the house. Dave and another worker, Peter ( who worked on the renovation) spent several hours locating the source of the leak, which required opening up both the wall in the bathroom and the ceiling below. The repair required a plumber so Dave had both areas cleaned before he left. The plumber (who also worked on the original project) was here first thing the next morning and quickly made the repairs (a faulty valve) Three days later the painters (also the original crew) had patched the holes and repainted the wall and ceiling. From my first text to completion was about five days. Kevin’s team was friendly and professional throughout, just as they were during the original project. I highly recommend Kevin Allen and would use him again.

I hired KAC to do a bathroom remodel on my first floor and a new shower in my upstairs bathroom. They did a BEAUTIFUL job and were great to work with. The subcontractors were professional and easy to deal with. The project manager was great. It took a lot longer than I had hoped but all in all I was very happy. However, it turns out that they do not stand by their work. Months after the job was done, the drywall around my first floor shower started to crumble. I sent Kevin photos. Without coming to see it, he "diagnosed" the problem - that water was getting in between the bathtub and tub enclosure and damaging the wall. He said it was a common problem with tub enclosures and he could fix it for $1500. I said ok and he had his project manager Dave come to look at it. It was only then that we realized that was NOT the problem. When the bathroom was done they had left the round metal part that the shower handle is attached to ungrouted. It was loose and would spin around. I asked the plumber about it when he did the bathtub and shower install and he said "its fine". I didn't question it because he ALSO left it the same way on the upstairs shower. I thought that probably the pipe behind it was fully grouted so that water could go behind the round part but would not permeate behind the tub enclosure. So anyway Dave realized quickly that water was going behind the round part, into where the pipes were and behind the tub enclosure and into the wall. That was what was causing the damage; the job had been not fully completed. The fixture should have been grouted. He assured me that I would not need to pay for repairs to the wall. I asked Kevin to schedule a repair and he insisted on payment, as we had agreed before. But that agreement was before we realized that the entire problem was caused by his subcontractors not finishing the job in the first place.

I'm very surprised by this review as the client was great to work for and very nice. This job was done in February 2020 and the problem was water getting behind the shower valve and running down the seam of the fiberglass tub as I told her. It was caulking we put around it not grout. These valves are never caulked around when installed as they have a gasket behind them. Didn't help she had shelf hanging off of this that pulls it away from the wall from the weight and the water runs down it. These problems all happened well after my 1 year warranty. I did tell her I would have to charge her for the repair because it was after warranty time. 2024, 4 years later of a slow leak that couldn't be seen we did go back and fix this and she did not get an Invoice!
