My 79 year old mother went to this store to buy a new I-phone. She asked for the oldest new model to replace her broken phone. The salesperson was insistent that she buy a ****** phone instead. She finally convinced him that she wanted an I-phone. The sales rep told her that the newest phone (I-phone 15) was only going to cost $350 and would be cheaper than an older model (I-phone 14 which would cost over $400.) He didn't mention the I-phone SE that they listed available on their website which would have been much cheaper. She believed the I-phone 15 would cost $350 total and agreed. He also convinced her she needed a ******* jetpack ($130) or the phone wouldn't work outside of the house. She agreed. Finally, he convinced her that she needed all sorts of cables and other accessories that she said she didn't need. (One of which was a liquid screen protector for $42.) We looked at her phone bill and realized the iphone 15 would end up costing more than $820 and she spent over $300 in accessories and the jetpack. We also learned that they added three protection plans for $50 a piece to her monthly bill. (New iphone, jetpack, and my fathers old phone.)I believe the salesperson completely took advantage of an elderly person and got a big commission for selling her things she didn't want or need.

On 8/15/22 I was duped into buying a new phone I didnt want or need. I brought my 1.5 year old iPhone into WIreless Zone because I got a message that I didnt recognize. I originally purchased the iPhone at Wireless Zone and ******* is my provider. The Wireless Zone Sales associate took the iPhone to the back room for testing and returned to tell me that I had 147 viruses on the iPhone and it needed to be replaced. He talked me into purchasing a new ***** phone with a low monthly payment. He also talked me into a new case and screen protector for the phone. He proceeded to open the box and hand me the new phone along with my iPhone and he then put the box in a bag and handed me with bag. He also did not give me a receipt of my transaction. I decided to take my iPhone to the Apple store to see if there actually were any viruses on it. I was told there are NO viruses on the iPhone and it was is perfect working order and the message I got was a benign message. As there is a 30 day return policy at the WIreless Zone I went to the store on 8/17/22 to return the ***** phone. I was told by my original sales associate that I could not return the phone because the *** card key was missing. I reminded him that I did not open the box nor did I touch it once he placed it in the bag. I was also told I couldnt return the accessories because of Covid. They were not marked as final sale anywhere in the store nor was I told that accessories were not returnable. He would not let me return the phone or accessories. I then asked my daughter to help me. She spoke with the salesman who told her that I actually could return the ***** phone but that it would cost me $350 in fees to do so. She then spoke with the District Manger who also said that I could return the phone for a 10% restocking fee- which was $72.50. I went to return the phone I was charged $222.44 in restocking fees. I ended up paying $222.44 for a phone I was told that I needed but didnt.
