    Business Response

    Date: 09/10/2024

Hi I'm responding to a complaint #******** issued to Ideal Jewelry & Loan by ******* ********.  Destiny last came in on 02/20/24 to renew the loan on her pocketbook. The new ticket expired 4 months later (required my law).  She never came in again to either pay the renewal or pick up the item.  On June 28th 2024 we sent her an overdue letter to her home address by certified mail (also required by law).  The certified letter was never signed for and eventually sent back to our address stating return to sender unclaimed.  The letter had allowed her 15 days to come in and renew or pickup.  We held on to the item for Destiny extra time after that but she never came in or called.  The pocketbook was entered into our inventory on August 8th 2024 and sold several days later.  She called our store on august 28th to inquire about the item but unfortunately it was too late.
