      I bought Dragon software years ago to help me in college, but recently discovered it was more like a rental. When I tried to access it again, I was told I had to buy a new version. If you're considering purchasing itdon't. Its anti-consumer and unfair.When I started college, my English writing skills were around a 5th-grade level. It took years of hard work and supportespecially from Dragon softwareto reach a point where I could write at a college level. Dragon was a game-changer for me. It helped bridge the gap between how I thought and how I expressed myself on paper. In my mind, I was eloquent and articulate. But when I wrote, it felt like I was trading a pencil for a rock and paper for a cave wall.Recently, I decided to start a ******* channel and thought Dragon could help me again. Unfortunately, I lost access to my account and had to contact customer support . The representative I spoke to told me that the software I paid for is no longer supported, and that Id have to buy an updated version.Heres the problem: Im currently unemployed and, financially speaking, I have the wealth of a sieve. I paid for software I believed I owned. Now Im told it was more like a rental. Thats unacceptable.If youre thinking of buying Dragon, dont. The companys policies are anti-consumer and unfair to loyal users.
