      I purchased one unit in a newly renovated condominium over two and a half years ago; the complete renovation work was performed by MRoger Contracting Services LLC. Within the first year of purchase, a number of issues emerged with the building construction and the other unit owners and myself brought these to the builder's attention on multiple instances. We had an independent building inspector tour the property as we were concerned about both issues we were already experiencing as well as any unseen structural dangers (critical structural issues were flagged). After being presented with the inspector's report (could not attach file as it was too large), MRoger Contracting has ignored these issues and refuses to honor any aspect of their builder's warranty agreement. It should also be noted that some repair work was started on the front and rear decks of the building (4 in total) without filing for a permit from the county--the work was abandoned mid-way through repairs and the decks remain unsafe to use. As of December 2022, MRoger Contracting put forth a building repair proposal to the unit owners (along with timelines to commence in Spring 2023), but since then has failed to respond to numerous emails, calls, texts concerning the proposed repairs. We are at a loss of what to do. We have spent the past years attempting to have the contractor fix the issues to no avail, while separately noticing that he creates new companies and dissolves the ones who built previous properties. As MRoger Contracting has had many chances over the years to fix these issues and has both ignored them and showed poor workmanship for the work that was performed, we would like to pursue a cash settlement so that we can hire another contractor of our choosing to complete the repair work properly.As a note, MRoger Contracting Services LLC appears to be dissolved as of 6/30/2021. However they continue to conduct business under this name as shown in the repair proposal attachment.
