      I am filing this complaint to express my dissatisfaction with EF Educational Tours regarding the 2025 ********** trip for students. I paid $3,268.00 for my daughter to participate in what was advertised as a high-quality educational experience. Unfortunately, the trip did not meet expectations for quality, transparency, or value.1. Lodging:Several hotels were in poor conditionone had no air conditioning, and another was infested with bugs. The itinerary provided before the trip did not include detail description of the hotel conditions. Many of the hotels turned out to be poor accommodations, which did not equal the price.2. Meals:The food provided was inadequate and unappetizing. Many students were dissatisfied, which negatively impacted their overall experience.3. Additional Fees:Despite the high upfront cost, students were asked to pay out-of-pocket for optional activities. These additional charges should have been *********. Lack of Transparency:EF did not provide an itemized cost breakdown, making it unclear how the $3,268 was spentparticularly given the low quality of accommodations This raises serious concerns about the value of services provided. Do not use this company, as you see families from different tours are saying the same thing. Read the reviews. I wish I did before the trip.I am requesting a partial refund, and an itemized cost breakdown. I trusted EF with my childs international experience, and that trust was not honored.

      On an EF tour to ***** in July 2025 a male student dislocated and fractured both arms. The emergency help line was unprofessional and offered contradictory information. I received little to no support in the middle of a medical emergency. I was left in the dark and at the disposal of EF tours and the parents. EF tours and the parents required me as the chaperone to travel with the student as an ****** on the airline trip home. As a female chaperone I did not feel comfortable or qualified to assist a male student in such a situation. I never gave my consent and was told what to do by ** and the parents. I was not informed that a medical repatriation or ****** had been considered and declined. This placed me in an ethically, professionally, and legally compromising position, especially considering the intimate and personal care required. I was forced to perform caregiving duties for a male minor, without protection, authorization, or informed consentsomething that violates standard chaperone expectations, professional boundaries, and likely state guidance in ***** related to the care of minors.

      This company failed to keep my child safe on tour. Adults (her leader and chaperone) took money from her and other horrendous things. 24/7 emergency line is non-existing after hours. They will not advocate for children but instead support their staff.

      Horrible experience! My daughter and I did the Italy tour and Im Not sure what my money was spent on but I spent over 10k for my daughter and I to travel with the tour- they booked the most cheapest flights- our group was in the back of the plane on all flights. Youre not allowed to upgrade your seats. They chose the cheapest hotels and one of the hotels had blood and hair on the walls and I had to pay almost $800 to change my daughter and I to different hotels. I called EF and they claimed it was nothing they could do even though they booked the group at that hotel - which had visible bad reviews on the hotels website. Additionally dinner was supposed to be free and on two occasions our group was served frozen chicken Patties.

      Kid had a great time in ******. They lived the tour guide. Thought price was fair. Someone complained of $500 insurance **** it up. You know what it is when you purchased it. It allows you to cancel the trip up to the day before.

      I would highly discourage anyone booking the ************* trip with this company. Its a rip off. I paid over $2200 for my son to attend this trip for most of the attractions that we attended to be free admission. Not only that, we would arrive to some locations and only be there 8-15 minutes. Due to the price point, I asked if I could book the rest of the familys hotel/flight accommodations separately, but they denied me citing safety and logistics reasons. I didnt understand the safety and logistics reasons when I booked the same flight and hotel that the package included. Also, to get there and learn that most of the attractions were free of charge, there really shouldnt have been an issue to charge me for a couple of sits on a bus that wasnt full. Again, stay clear of this company. You can plan your family a trip for much trip. One family in the group stated they had to save for a year to take this trip. Its sad that in this economy, EF Explorers is out here taking advantage of people.

      If I could give EF Tours a 0 I would. They are a rip off and scammers. I paid for my son to go on a trip. The only way I was able to get him to go was if I went along. I was suppose to chaperone and the school group leader changed her mind. I complained to EF Tours and they transferred all my funds to another trip and said I could go without being a chaperone. I thought the problem was solved. I paid off my son's trip for our passports and was calling to pay off my trip when they said the group leader didn't want me to go even though there was room in the trip. This whole time iv was told I could go and even got a shared room with my son. Now they don't want to transfer to another trip with a different school and group leader and they don't want to refund the money I paid for my son. They had 1 year to tell me I couldn't go and waited 3 weeks till departure. Now they don't want to do anything and the school either. They're both like too bad. My son has anxiety and has never spent the night somewhere not even a friend's house or family member plus I found out he has bullies in this trip. *************************************** and EF Tours don't want to do anything about it. They just took my $5,000 and blamed each other and offered no solution. Not even a compromise. No refund. No transfer. Nothing!

      I am very concerned about the shady practices of this company! The tour my child was booked on was cancelled through no fault of hers. She was ready to go on this trip. Now, to get a refund they are taking almost five hundred dollars form the amount we paid. This is a ridiculous poor practice. Again, she was ready for the trip and it was cancelled. I bet they rake in a lot of money from innocent people! Not a company people should do business with if they want an honest, reputable company!

      I 100% agree with all the negative reviews and will add another. If I could leave zero stars here, I would. This company is criminal in the way they operate and treat customers - no one should do business with them under any circumstances. I canceled our daughter's trip over 3 months in advance of the departure date, and they kept more than half of my money including charging a cancelation fee. In addition, they charge outrageous hidden fees - their invoices don't make any sense because they are hiding fees. This company's primary objective is money - nothing more, nothing less. Engage with this company at your own risk.

      They will take your money and keep adding more fees. They don't care that they are sending minors across the country as long as they have your money.
