    Weve worked w MJ, owner ******************* and Handyman, since 2022; he was skilled & careful. Jun 2025 we decided to replace 3 boards but then decided to replace entire deck because of additional damage. Jul2 we paid MJ $9,768.83 to order boards. Aug5, M texted the ship day is next Friday. Old boards were removed & sliders replaced starting Aug19. Sep 10 MJ texted It looks like ********** lost mine (sp) order because it still says its been shipped. He told us it was likely that the shipment had been stolen because *********** said they had shipped; shipper said they didnt get the shipment; M was discussing situation with both. Oct 2 M texted The decking board being shipped on Friday. It should take 5 days to come in and then I can get it scheduled for delivery. Going to have junk removal come and get the trash out. Oct 9 M texted I just got confirmation that the deck board will be shipped tomorrow and should be here next week. Nov 4th I asked for delivery date. Nov 5th M replied Im not looking to make excuses, Im working on that. I got hurt on a job, the girls are going back to *****, and H and I are separating. . . . If u guys would like I can refund the money if you are thinking that would be best Nov16 I sent an email with a spreadsheet, invoice info, questions about the amount owed & asked M to propose a repayment plan. Nov 29, I got a text from one of ******* saying the boards had not been ordered. Dec 2nd I asked for a reply. On Dec 19th I received an email saying You should see refunds on the card doing that, and will be getting bank check for the check that I got from you, the bank check will be going out in week. No refund has been made, no payment proposed, & there has been no further contact from MJ. Jan 2, I sent copies of the material by certified mail. In addition to the $9,768.83, we are owed $399.90 for the mahogany boards that were returned and $300 for waste removal that was not done for a total of $10,468.46.

    ****** is a Contractor/ Handyman who was referred to us by a friend. I live in a 2 unit condo, and both my neighbor, *************************, and I had a couple jobs we wanted ****** to do. Early on, ****** was good. He sanded, sealed, and painted our front door, which was weathered and worn. He installed a broken ********* in my unit. He also re-sealed our roofdeck door, which had been leaking. Payment was easy and quick, and ****** was generally professional about everything, though not always super responsive or quick.However, we also asked ****** to replace two windows in each unit. ****** gave us estimates, and then requested payment so he could purchase the windows from *********** ******* and I both paid ****** $1,500, and then he began to cite delays, issues with the order, etc. He became less and less responsive over the subsequent months, and eventually completely stopped responding to all calls, text messages, or any other outreach from me or **************** also reached out to a realtor in town who I knew worked with ******, and she was able to speak to him, and he lied and said he had paid us back our money. As she dug further into ******'s reputation and reliability with other folks in his circle, it seems this is a trend with him.I've attached the Quickbooks payment confirmation for my $1,500, along with correspondence (or lack thereof on ******'s part) via text, and some email exchanges. Please let me know if you all can help bring resolution to this situation. ****** has been completely non-responsive for nearly 6 months now.An ideal outcome here would be: ******* and I are both refunded our $1,500 apiece for the windows we never had installed ****** returns my extra set of house keys that I believe he still has.

    I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. They continue to evade calls and text messages, and I was hoping BBB would have better luck getting in touch with him.
