On January 18, 2023 I paid this company $535 to unclog an exit drain leading to a septic tank. At the same time, they replaced a toilet for $650. In July of 2023, I had the same issue. They came, snaked and unclogged the drain and charged me another $535. They then said the drain pipe was cracked underground and it would cost $2500 to fix and said if I didn't fix it soon, I'd have the same problem. I called another company, ************************ They came the next day with a front loader, found the break, dug up the ground where it was and replaced the pipe for $500 total. When I told them about the $2500 quote, they immediately knew who it was. Apparently United Rooter has quite a reputation and they said they are crooks. Also, the toilet they installed has come loose. It is not bolted to the floor. I now need to hire a plumber to fix their lousy work. Another thing to note, there are two drains, one in the basement and another outside the house (for better access to the septic tank). I'm an older woman, I had no idea about this. The guys from ******************* said they had absolutely NO business coming into the house, they should have only looked at the outside drain. I feel United Rooter owes me $1070 for the two times they came and charged $535 each time. For nothing. I'm on a fixed income and a so sick of being taken advantage of by unscrupulous companies!!

United Rooter service did provide work at this residence. When we went there in January we did get the line open and running for well over 6 months. We did replace the toilet, United Rooter service offers a 30 day warranty on service we provide. We then were called back in July for a sewer back up again, we then ran our auger machine in the mainline clean out. The cable machine would not go past the clean on the exterior of the home. We then put our flush bag in the mainline clean out and let that run for several minutes. After shutting down the flush bag the mainline opened up. United Rooter service then offered a free camera inspection this normally cost $250. We found what looks like to be a separation in the pipe just outside the foundation wall. We advised the customer that it needs be dug because clearly this is the second time its backed up. United Rooter service then offered to the customer that the $535 charge would be taken off of the excavation of the sewer call. United Rooter service was advised that the toilet we installed was loose. We then went back in and installed new bolts to make sure the toilet was secured at no extra cost.

In there for we do not feel that we owe any money back to this customer.
