    If I could put ) stars here, I would...This supposedly local business turned up on a ****** search. I do not believe it exists - the physical address is not right. One can easily book an online appointment and a man called *** showed up at my house with a Garage Door hoodie in an unmarked truck. He proceeded to tell me I needed new springs for $375 in addition to a service call charge of $175. I agreed. About 30min later, he claimed the door would still not work and more things needed to be replaced...and my other door was the same age and likely also needed the same work as a preventative measure...He quoted us (verbally) about $3800 to fix the mechanism on both doors. We thought that was high and felt we were being scammed by that point, so told him to send us a written quote and that we would think about it. He then called his manager who pressured us in taking this "great deal" - we refused. We then asked for an invoice for what we owe them for today's work, which he resisted. He said they needed payment on the spot, in either cash or credit card, and also asked for photo ID which was very suspicious. We ended up reluctantly paying $925 on our credit card, and we supplied a photo ID but covered up key personal details so that he would finally leave our home. The invoice said Champions Garage Door with an 844-phone number, without any address. The phone number is not in use.We eventually got the door repaired by an actual licensed contractor. We believe we paid double what spring repairs should cost, and turns out the wrong ones were put in by this fake company, so we had to redo the job.
