    I hired Tom K******* for a $22,000 home project. I paid him a $4,000 deposit, but he never did any work and refused to give me my money back. When I asked for a legal start date before paying more (as required by Massachusetts law), he retaliated by reporting me to the town with false claims—including that I refused to pay and had unpermitted work done (see attached screenshot).
    At first, he said he would cancel the permit and return the deposit minus the permit fee. But two weeks later, he changed his story and said he would only return around $1,300—claiming the rest was for his “wasted time.” No work was ever done, and no receipts were provided for the charges he invented after the fact.

    This complaint has a much larger issue the person leaving this info was in breach of contract full deposit was never received by contractor and customer wanted work started on the contractors dime she is not telling the whole story here this is why I am not a part of the bbb they only take one side before hearing both partys
