I asked the Holyoke Lock to make 2 copies of my key. They said it costs $7, but because it is less than $10, they will charge me a $0.50 penalty fee.I paid cash and did not receive any receipts. In a couple of days, I found that both keys do not work.I came to the company, asking to give a receipt.I explained that I did not receive any receipt from the company. Some manager came to me and started talking rudely, repeating like a tape recorder that he needed my receipt 11 times. Then he suggested going to my house to check what was wrong with the keys. Both keys were marked HOLYOKE LOCK.I explained that these keys were made not for my house but for tenants, who could not wait and made other copies in **** ******. He was insisting repeatedly on going to tenants 5-7 times.I left both keys for him and left the office. *****************************

Sorry for your poor experience however your version is not quite the way it happened. We do not charge a "penalty" fee for someone paying cash under $10.00. You can make a .25 cent purchase if you choose. We give a receipt to every customer that makes a purchase. We do guarantee ALL of our keys to work however we do not just refund the money because someone says these keys don't work. Our policy is to take the time to check them against the original keys to verify they were the correct key and make any adjustments or replacements necessary. We have a pretty good track record of making quality keys over the past 80 years. The service technician asked you some questions about the problem with the keys as well as to see the original key and asked for a receipt so he may check the date. You declined on all requests for us to try to help you and become upset when he wouldn't just give you back your payment and you left. Please fell free to come in with the original key and we will check and correct the keys or make you replacements at no charge.
