In May of 2024, I provided the business with a down payment for auto insurance policy that would cover about a month or two of insurance. I reached out to the business when I didnt receive the paperwork and was told they would call me back. I didnt Submit payments because I never Received a policy after multiple attempts from me and my parents to collect. I let them cancel the policy at that point. Fast forward to 2025, while shopping for new insurance Im told by 2 other companies that I have an outstanding balance, part of which is from my down payment that wasnt fully paid. I called Weeks and Devonish( the agency I went through to try to get a better understanding of how I owed On something I paid. Immediately the gentleman began to get extremely rude and aggressive yelling and speaking over me, then proceeded to yell you should have called them and just paid it when I said it may be best if I get One of the agents on the phone with us.

    Business Response

    Date: 03/17/2025

The person making the complaint after paying deposit chose to not pay her bill. The deposit she provided was paid to the insurance company.  She refused to pay any bills that was issued to her and subsequently cancelled. She obtained an auto policy on 05/28/2024, the policy cancelled for non payment. She was billed several payments and made no payments to the insurance company. The deposit she paid was paid to the insurance company as the attachment shows. She canceled on 10/10/07/2024 because she made no payments for 5 months. Her car was towed because she drove while uninsured. She called us often about not receiving her bill, we directed her to the insurance company to make the payments. The address reflected on the policy is the same as her registration address and no explainable reason for not getting the bill has been provided. She admitted to me that she intentionally chose not to pay the insurance company.
