Left message 12/15/2023 to inform them my new roof has a leak. Has not contacted me back for warranty work; don't believe they will do so willingly due to prior legal dispute. Contracted with them in May 2023 to replace "all house roofs" (contract quote). I should have been suspicious when I received the quote appox 30 minutes after it was requested and did not see anyone survey the property. Upon completion of 2nd story portion of house, they said the attached sunroof and garage were not included, but said they could complete for an additional 60% (approximate) cost. I threatened legal action under a ************* statute concerning misleading contracts. They relented and completed the job for the original amount, but their salesman/estimator/construction lead *************** made insinuations that we were thieves or swindlers. My belief is that he issued a quote based upon a picture of the front of the house not realizing there was additional roofing in the back, but tried to get me to eat the cost of his mistake. Whereas I would have hired a different if they had been thorough enough to give my their actual quote for the entire house.I currently believe they have no intention of fixing the shoddy installation due to the minimal profit they incurred from their quote error.

Thank you for your feedback. The leak you reported recently will be addressed as soon as the our schedule permits and the weather cooperates.  The original contract terms are unrelated to your recent leak call so I'm a bit confused as to why they are noted in this complaint. Nonetheless, we completed ********* regardless of the dispute regarding the contract terminology and the threat to bring legal action had no bearing on our decision to complete 'all house roofs'.  We have been in business for over 30 years with an impeccable reputation and you were given a 5 Star CertainTeed Warranty on your home. Please note that when we troubleshoot the leak and it is unrelated to the roof, there will be a service fee connected to the repair.  If you have any questions or concerns, please call me directly at **************. Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ********. Please add your rejection comments below; if you do not provide any details, your complaint will be closed as ********************************* did come twice after he did the new roof for sealant, every time the leaking has been fixed temporally for two months. Why the company conclude the leaking is due to the siding. if that is true, it should be leaking all the time, no temporally fixing for two month at all. And also the leaking is at the connection between the roof and siding, when a new roof was put, the connection should be also considered a whole new roof project, which was put on the contract as "Install step flashing at roof to wall juncture if missing or damaged, properly seal this entire juncture." So it is should be under warranty.

Company did come November 2022 and try to fix the leaking 3rd time, but only after one month, it started to leak December 2022. And I got the bill of $1200+, the leaking problem was starting from after new roof which was put September 2021, I paid for $3550. Company did not do what is supposed do. Because before the new roof project, I emailed the photo and thoroughly explained my leaking problem, and company gave me proposal based on that. And on site of the new roof project, I also showed the worker for the problem. The expectation should be fixing the leaking problem after paying $3550 for the new roof.

ruction did the new roof, I explained my leaking problem and sent photo to them as well. And on site when the worker were doing the new roof, I specific showed the problem to the wokers. The contract from Georgoulis Construction said they warranty for 10 years, but not even several months in my case.I did my main house roof in 2006 with Georgoulis Construction as well, which was very good experience. I have even kept the old proposal for 15 years. But I felt very frustrated and disappointment this time.

We went to *****'s house in November of 2022. We found the issue was related to water getting behind the siding and corner board, which is unrelated to the roof we installed. ***** has an outstanding bill with ** for nearly 60 days.  We have always investigated any leaks reported by this customer and have been trouble shooting the issue applying our knowledge and expertise.  This leaking issue is related to siding (not covered under warranty) and not the roof we installed, which would be covered under warranty.  We believe this an attempt of the customer avoiding to pay past arrears for a service call, which to our knowledge has resolved the leaking issue.

The original contract billed on September 7, 2021 to install a new roof, it noted 'REPLACE/INSTALL any MISSING flashing where needed' at the roof-to-wall location. When the roof was INSTALLED, we also installed 3 pieces of MISSING flashing at that location.

Georgoulis Construction has made 3 attempts to address this issue related to the roof-to-wall location since 2021. The leak is directly associated with the siding, which is unrelated to the roof. Please keep in mind, that wind driven rain can result in water getting behind the siding, which is the reason its not a consistent leak.

Georgoulis Construction sent its' work crew to your home on November 3, 2022,which required replacing a corner board due to water getting behind the siding.  ************ is chargeable because its unrelated to the roof installed, which has yet to be paid by the customer (bill date November 7, 2022).

Overall, Georgoulis Construction highly recommends stripping the side wall, installing ice/water and residing.

What business said is not true. If the leaking is due to the siding, it should be leaking all the time. But after the new roof was installed summer 2021, there was no leaking for two months,  the leaking started,  worker came to the first fix in November 2021, and there was no leaking after that, until spring 2022, it started to leak again. Worker came to do fix again April 2022, after that no leak for another 2-3 month, then started to leak again. So it was definitely not related with sidling, but something with the connection between the roof and the siding. We paid for a new roof and on the contract, it included the connection between roof and siding, it should be in the warranty.
Worker came to do the third fix on November 2022, this time did not fix anything, even worse, the leaking is still there. And it needs to be fixed by the business permanently.

I can only speak out based on the fact.
The roof leaking was fixed after the new roof and it was fixed after the first time your worker came and second time your worker came, although there were temporarily fix for two months.
The third time, you made judgement based on your 30 years experiences, but the result is not even a fix, it is leaking all the time right now, not even two months
If the leaking is due to the siding, the leak should be all the time, but the fact said it was not, it had been fixed by doing something between the connection of roof and sidling for three times, but the last time it was not.
I respect your 30 years experiences, but the fact told us this time, your judgement is wrong; the leaking is between the roof and the sidling.

While we understand YOU believe this leak is directly related to the roof, we are the experts in this industry for over 30 years. We installed 6' of ice and water and new flashing on the new roof.  Water cannot penetrate the roof with this protective barrier. We cannot express enough that the leaking is directly related to the siding on the side wall.  So you know, the leak doesn't happen all the time because its directly related to WIND DRIVEN rain that seeps behind the siding. We have diligently investigated this issue three times and identified the leaking is directly related to the siding. We have gone above and beyond to try to resolve this issue, including replacing the corner board. Although this issue is unrelated to the roof we have continuously tried to work with you, however you refuse to acknowledge that the leak is anything other than a roof issue.

Georgoulis Construction replaced the roof on my home. After that work was complete we noticed an opening was created along where the gutter meets the roof. We have asked that the company come back and fix it. We have emails going back months. They kept promising to come out but never have followed through. We sent a registered letter asking them to please come out and at least figure out the problem. Again, no response. We just want them to get up on the roof and identify the problem and propose a solution.

We are aware of the customers complaint.  While we did replace the roof, gutters and fascia board, the issue reported is directly related to pests (squirrels) chewing a hole through the fascia board.

Customer reported issue reported in April 2022, Georgoulis Construction was going to send a repair crew to her home and replace the fascial board that had a whole in it.

Customer followed-up with a call the see when the repair crew could address the issue. At that time the customer reported that squirrel had chewed the hole and should could hear them at night. Georgoulis Construction, instructed customer to first call pest control to address the pest infestation before we would replace the fascia board or they will chew another hole repeating the same problem.

Customer called again to fix the hole, yet hadn't called pest control. Georgoulis Construction again instructed the customer to call pest control to address the squirrel infestation before we would install a new fascia board.

Georgoulis Construction didn't hear back from the customer until last week when she send a certified letter, which included messages between Georgoulis Construction and customer. The messages include a summary of what is stated in this reply.

In summary, we have scheduled our crew to address the issue next week regardless of whether or not the customer has addressed the squirrel infestation.  However, the issue is unrelated to the work we did at the home.  This is not a roof or gutter related issue, yet a problem with pests which is outside our control.  We have no obligation to repair the area under our contract terms, warranty or certification yet we are willing to address the issue to preserve a good standing with the customer and maintain our reputation in this competitive market.
