I will be satisfied once the work I hired Farina to do has been completed. The observation that my gutters are over 20 years old is not a satisfactory response; they were over 20 years old when Farina inspected them and took on the job of cleaning and repairing them and installing leaf guards. If this was an issue, it should have been brought up before the work began AND in any case, the job they were hired to do is still not complete.
Businesses and Customers should be civil, courteous and polite in their responses to complaints. It is important to remain professional and productive when participating in the BBB complaint process.

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. well as sending them proof of the quote from the other company, they are now claiming there is nothing wrong with the repair and that they repair they did was successful (even though the spot I specifically hired them to fix is still leaking) and the pitch of my gutter is off and if I like them to replace it so it doesn't leak would be another $1200. They claimed this repair works for "most people" but it's not uncommon to find new problems after the estimate/when the work is being performed. They offered me free gutter guards (which I already told them I didn't want!) as a courtesy for my inconvenience.I understand an estimate is just that, and the job can require more once work begins, but that is not this situation. RB Farina did not identify this problem while performing the work, nor did they identify it when they came back a second time to fix the initial repair. I was only made aware of this "pitch" issue when I called yet again to tell them the spot was still leaking.Business Response

Dear *****,
In response to your complaint, we at RB Farina Roofing ** are committed to providing our customers with the highest quality service. With 39 years of experience in the roofing industry, we have built a reputation for excellence. Our extensive experience means we understand the challenges that come with roofing and are committed to finding the best solutions for our customers.
In order to demonstrate our commitment to customer satisfaction, we will be issuing you a full refund $799.
We want to sincerely apologize again for the frustration you've experienced regarding the job provided. As mentioned previously, addressing the gutter as a whole in that area is essential for a complete solution, as the repair on the corner alone would not have fully resolved the issue. The problem will likely persist without the entire section being properly replaced.
I understand that you've decided not to move forward with replacing that section of the gutter, and I respect your decision. I just wanted to reiterate that the issue could continue to occur if that section isn't fully replaced, as the repair we did at the corner cannot fully contain it because of a separate matter that's not only related to the corner.
Thank you again for your understanding.
Best regards,Initial Complaint

On 8/31/2021 our entire roof was replaced by RB Farina, we paid $12,874.00 in total. The contract states that: "In a minority of our roofing projects, damaged sheathing may be identified during the installation process once the shingles are removed. When this is the case, additional charges for sheathing replacement will apply at a rate of $135.00 per sheet (plywood), or $5,50 per linear foot, if it is a (wood board)." At the time, the supervisor never mentioned anything about our sheathing.During Dec 2022, the roof started to leak.On 12/22/2022 someone came by and identified that a ridge vent's supporting feet went underneath the roofing and directly into the home and came by on 1/13/2023 to apply tar to the source as a temporary fix under warranty and informed me that the vent was never their responsibility and that I would need to hire other contractors to permanently fix the feet.June 2023, the roof began to leak again so I hired a new set of contractors (******** construction ******************************** to apply the permanent fix.******** contractors came by on 7/2 and identified that the shingles were coming off the roof in certain places. Taking a closer look under the shingles, they identified that the sheathing (plywood) was rotten. They took photos and videos to demonstrate the deteriorated sheathing.I paid ******** $2500 to repair the ridge vent feet and replace the sheathing around the dormer on 7/5, but they informed me that other parts of the roof also had their shingles coming up which suggested rotten sheathing. They attached pictures where you can see rotten plywood, or no plywood at all.On 8/3 and again on 8/8, I sent emails to RB Farina to come by and look into fixing the remaining sheathing. I have attempted to call them every day for the past week at multiple points in the day and I have not received a response. I fear that parts of my home are experiencing water damage every day they dont come by.
