      On June 10th ButcherBox charged my **************** card for $150.00 and shipped an order I never placed.I don't see how this charge even went through since original card had long expired, I was surprised the transaction cleared.I contacted ButcherBox customer service immediately. Their representatives asserted:I must have clicked a promotional link that reactivated the subscription, or My account was simply paused and resumed automatically after five years.Both explanations are implausible:The email address that we can use for that account is an old email address. I haven't had access to for six or more months.A five-year pause ???? I doubt their system allows such a long pause- . The representative suggesting this tells me she wasn't even listening to my concerns. She just kept repeating that since this order has already been processed there was nothing they could do. This is completely unacceptable! Unfortunately, I can't even provide the Better Business Bureau a tracking number or an Account order number because I never received any email about an order. It just showed up.

      Complaint Regarding Non-Delivery and Non-Refund of ButcherBox Order I am writing to file a complaint against ButcherBox regarding an order I placed valued at $169 (promotional price paid: $20.77).ButcherBox cancelled my account and did not deliver the purchased ****** has now been over six months since the cancellation, and I have neither received the package nor a refund for my payment.       I received my order of meat that had 2-8 oz filet mignons missing from my box even though the packing label indicated it was included in the box. After multiple attempts from customer support, concierge support, and my request for a manager or supervisor to contact me, they said a manager would contact me within 48 hours, but its been 72 hours and no one did. They are giving me a run around by stating they cant send me the missing steaks because they have a minimum shipping weight, or they would credit me $42 but cant braise I used a Groupon, or they would ship it with my next order except I dont plan on continuing subscription due to my bad customer service experience. They even offered me 2-8 oz complimentary steaks, but then said I would forfeit the $42 credit on my next shipment, so its not complimentary. All Im asking is that they fulfill my original order by sending me my 2 missing steaks, or send me a check for $42 in lieu of replacing the missing steaks. Please assist.

They are unable to refund you $42 because the order was free, and cost $0.00. Our system and team has no ability to refund an order that was free. I can see our team offered to add more credits to your account, which would leave you with a $60 in credits applied to your next order.

      Butcher Box continues to offer me a $42 credit or delivery of the missing filets on a future order, which I may decide not to purchase in the future. Furthermore, Butcher Box is disingenuous when the say that my order was free as a way to rationalize why they cannot refund me $42. They have an agreement with ******* to whom I paid Groupon $173.49 on 6/6/2025 (see attached) for my order of steaks and failed to complete my order since 2 - 8oz filets were missing. All I want is that my order is fulfilled for the missing steaks. and that they be delivered to me soon, or to send me a check for $42, which they have already agreed to credit my account on a future order, which is not acceptable since it forces me to place another order to receive the credit.

      Why did you only respond that you cannot refund me $42 when I also offered Butcher Box the opportunity to fulfill my order of the 2 missing filets? That is a reasonable expectation, and is governed by the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), which requires both parties to act in good faith during the performance of its contract. 

      Butcher Box has partially breeched this contract by not fulfilling my order. I just want what I paid for - nothing more and nothing less. Please deliver my 2-8oz filets asap so this dispute is over with! If you refuse, I will be forced to take the next step and file a complaint with the ***********************************. In the end, this will cost Butcher Box more than $42 and scar its reputation!

      I ordered meat from this company. I have tried to contact them with no response. All the meat except the hamburger had such a terrible taste and texture. It all tasted like liver. The chicken was so chewy and dry. The pre cooked barbacoa sat on my stomach all night and gave me a stomach ache. I am so unsatisfied with this company and it's products. Greenwise steaks taste so much better. Big mistake ordering from them. I requested a refund with no response.

      We looked into this and can see that you canceled your account on June 3rd, which means your June order that billed before that date was processed and received before you canceled. Prior to that, you had 2 orders that were processed after you started an account in February. We have no record of you canceling your account before June 3rd, so want to assure you that you are not being charged for anything outside of your active subscription.

      Your subscription is now canceled, and you will receive no orders from ButcherBox. We hope this information helps.

      I placed an order for a subscription box which I received. However the meat had a fowl odor once thawed and was not edible. Ive been trying to reach out to them for 2 months regarding my complaint with no response. I cancelled my subscription but also had to discard the meat from the first box!

      This is the second time I have received salmon from this company that is riddled with worms. Not only that, but all the meat in my package had broken packaged, which was pierced & not air tight. These are serious health concerns and I have contacted the company on numerous occasions to cancel my membership and they dont reply. They have very poor food safety practices and peoples health is at large. Worms in salmon is not normal with safe processing and I have a plethora of photos to share. Im disgusted this company wont cancel my membership or respond to inquiries regarding worms in their products. Nobody should support this. The platform will only allow me to upload one photo but I have plenty more

      The meat I received from the company was fowl and tasted horrible. I cooked several different options in my meat package that I received from company and each tasted horrible along with the the texture and look. The taste upset my stomach. I have a good amount of meat left in my refrigerato. I contacted the ** and offered to return the 3/4 unused meat I have left, ut was ignored. They however did refund $79, which is absolutely unreasonable. I advised them I will not eat any of the leftover meat in freezer due to the experience of the other meat. I did mention to them that the bacon i received was fine, but the rest is a health concern. There are many other complaints on found with similar issues I found online. I am requesting a full refund, minus the Bacon cost, which is around $20 dollars. Thank you

      Hi there,I signed up for my first box a month ago but then I wanted to temporarily cancel my subscription due to financial circumstances. For some reason I couldn't login and my account got locked. So I sent an email and asked customer service to cancel my subscription. They responded that I could do it myself or call, thanks ******* Obvious but I couldn't do it myself due to the issues with the account being locked and I don't like calling. I'm a typical millennial lol anyway, I contacted BB again with the same request to cancel and was offered a promotion which we started negotiating. However due to the turnaround time that BB takes by the time we finally negotiated the offer, I guess another time went by and I was able to finally unlock my account. I made some changes and then I noticed that I was charged the full amount instead of what was negotiated. When I received the box, I didn't receive the updated order nor did I receive ground beef that was offered to me as a part of the promotion. I'm extremely unhappy with the way things happened because you guys take 24 hours for every response and because of that I was charged a full price. Financial circumstances is the reason I wanted to cancel in the first place so now you guys put me behind with this, not to mention I didn't even get the box I wanted. Please fix this! Thanks.P. S.       Order email confirmation #********* dated 3/28 I received at 4:15am. I immediately called on that day to let them know I did not order and do not authorize the additional items. I am a single elderly woman living on a fixed income and in no way would have ordered $503.70 worth of meat and fish. I have a small apartment and cannot accommodate such a large order. All items on this order number listed as "one time specials" are unauthorized. I have called customer service multiple times as soon as I saw the email and prior to delivery to resolve this. I also called after delivery to continue to request a refund on this unauthorized charge. I have still not received a call back.
