    On February 21st, 2024, a gentleman by the name of ***************************** knocked on my door to ask if I wanted chimney repair, which i did. I'm a 76 yo widow. so, he took me around and asked me if I saw where the chimney was leaning and said it was an emergency. Well, i saw a little lean, but. Anyway, while we were going over his credentials in my porch, he began asking me what I thought were questions asked out of curiosity. at first. He offered to inspect the chimney before I made up my mind as to whether or not have it repaired. I had chimney repairmen here about 15 years ago and so I didn't believe it would be too expensive. No, ******* did not give me a price for the inspection which is where my elderly vulnerability comes in. I should've asked or he should've told me. I found out the following Friday $99.00 is the ******** standard. In any case, he told me it would cost $3500.00 to repair the chimney with his assessments. I said, no, not only do I not want to spend that much, but I didn't trust the assessment. I also told him I didn't like the questions he asked me earlier in the porch which were: "do you live here alone?" "are you married?" "is there anyone who checks in on you on a daily basis?" So, then he says, well would you pay me $400 for the work I did do today? I said how about $200 and he said $300. Not wanting to go on about it I wrote him out a check for the $300. I can't say I was physically afraid of him. I also don't believe I was intimidated by him. I was just being...vulnerable. And for me to admit that...well, I'm finding out about elder vulnerabilities now. I did call them, and they said they would call me back, but they never did. the woman's name is ****. I believe she is the owner. I really only want a refund of $200, because he did do the inspection.

    I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. And  now there has been an a high wind incident where the covers, two of them, Were pulled up and out careening onto my next door neighbor's driveway with their car right there. I don't believe there was any damage to the car. However was the negligence in not securing the covers unintended or not?
