  I had booked a stay with evonify through ****** for almost $700. Then the listing got removed from ******. So I reached out to them and booked through their website. Had to cancel it because of covid. They told me they could not give me a refund but they would give me a credit. Here is their email. Hi ******,Thanks a lot for your patience regarding this As explained over the call, the department unfortunately is not willing to consider any refund due to the late cancellation but i have managed to convince them to allow the same amount of credit You have a credit of $693.33. which can be used as per your preference, as long as the reservation amount to the equal amount as your credit or more, where the balance ofcourse will have to be covered by you Please feel free to reply back to this email, whenever you are looking to use the credit and we will then take it from there Looking forward to delivering you an excellent accommodation experience in the future, ****.Flash forward to now. They are not honoring the credit because it has been over two years. Even though no where in that email did they say there was a time limit. Otherwise I would have used it. I have a feeling no matter when I tried to they would have said no. $700! Ive been calling and emailing them for the last two weeks. I have recordings of everyone saying they will speak to management and let me know. Nobody ever called me back. My number was actually blocked by them and I had to use a different phone to get through. Do not rent/stay with them. They are a scam.

  I had a unit rented out for a period of 15 days. someone had called me in my absence to enter for fixing a WiFi issue, I had denied the request because we were not at home and asked them to come tomorrow. After reaching home I noticed the WiFi router is missing from the home. since we were traveling internationally all of our important documents and money was left in the apartment. given that it is a new country for us and the neighborhood of the apartment not being safe it was extremely scary and concerning. airbnb offered us to vacate immediately. it was highly inconvenient. i had planned this from for months and due to lack of good business practice we were in a tricky situation. we asked to be fairly compensated i.e 50% of the total payment for the breach of trust and violation of the booking agreement. still waiting to hear back from evonify. they charge an absurdly high amount but do not know how to provide a safe environment. I had a bad experience.

  Oct 3, 2023, I made an AirBnB last minute short term rental booking for a 1 night stay at about 8pm in the evening. Upon arriving at rental property about 15 minutes later, cohost **** requested me to go to his website to give an additional $250 as well as send a selfie picture of me holding my ID. After reading on the Better Business Bureau that people have been scammed by Evonify, I canceled my reservation, never entering the property, and asked for a full refund that Evonify has denied. I am again requesting Evonify to fully refund my charge of $124.02 to prevent any further need to escalate this case.

  WHAT A SCAM!!!!! I reserved an apartment through Airbnb in ******, ************* in January ('23) for a visit in May, 2023. I paid $950.00 for the deposit with the remainder to be automatically deducted closer to the stay. On April 16 my wallet was stolen. I had to cancel all of my credit cards. In between canceling the cards and waiting for my new ones, they tried to deduct the remaining balance. It was declined so Evonify immediately automatically cancelled my reservation. NO amount of trying to negotiate with them worked. I have two separate police reports that I offered to send them for proof. Airbnb suggested that I try to rebook it and ask them to apply my original deposit. I tried to rebook within days but it had already been booked by someone else. Even though it was booked, they still would not refund my deposit. I was left with trying to find a place at the last minute for five people in ******. DO NOT USE EVONIFY. They will cheat you out of every cent. I am out $950.00 plus the cost of a different place to stay. This trip was a splurge for **. It makes me sick that a company who doesn't need $950.00 would deny a refund to someone who can really use it.

  MASSIVE SCAM. I booked an apartment at ********************************* for a party of 4 adults - 2 separate couples. The day before departure we were really confused when we were directed to ****************** which is a shabby and quite filthy building of multiple occupancy. On entry, the hall was littered with cardboard boxes which was a massive fire hazard. On entry to the actual apartment it became apparent that we had been scammed. It was an appalling bedsit, the door had been previously forced, it did not lock securely from inside, there was only one blood- stained bed in the living room- disgusting accommodation for 2 people. Countless phone calls to Evonify went unanswered and we were forced in to the dark streets of ****** to look for emergency accommodation. $3000 and more out of pocket, my frequent emails fall in deaf ears. The pictures that they market are completely misleading, the address is false, the building is disgusting and unsafe and the address is wrong. I know that I will get my money back eventually but, please folks, dont book Evonify Stays Theatre District ******. Read all the reviews as there is a common theme of misleading advertising here and a lot of grief goes with this association.
