    We moved to this area and received a mailing from said office of discounted first visit. I asked if they took our insurance and you said yes. I scheduled 2 cleanings. Our insurance provides 2 free cleanings and X-rays per year. The Dentist had a horrible attitude with both of us and without even touching my teeth claimed we both had an absorbent amount of cavities. We left and I find out the gave my son a flouride treatment without asking me. Now, Im sent a bill for $131.98! I contacted them to be told we were given comprehensive examinations which are only approved every 5 years by the insurance and that I now owe them. The dentist did not even touch inside my mouth and we were asked about extra comprehensive exams nor do I feel we received them. They offered no resolution despite my saying it was fraud.

    Hello,

    Attached is the email correspondence between the patient and my office manager, along with the patients explanation of benefits. As you can see the patients grievance is with her insurance not our office. We can not see new patients without the dentist examination; reading and diagnosing the x-rays. The hygienist cannot do just a cleaning and x-rays the dentist must do the exam. This will continue to happen to this patient as she switches offices, the comprehensive/initial exam will be billed and not paid.

    I am rejecting this response because: I was not told or provided an in depth examination and did not request one. After I declined their other appointments, funny how then I receive a bill for services not rendered.

    As previously stated the issue in this case is not with our office, it is with the consumer's insurance company. If the consumer is seeking any billing adjustments they should contact their insurance company regarding an explanation of their benefits.

     I have written the insurance company and explained this agency bills for services not rendered. They did not do nor did I agree to a comprehensive exam. The Dentist did not even touch the inside of my mouth!
