      On 6/1/23, my wife and I purchased an Evolution A-Frame pool ladder at Surfside Pool Company in *************, **. We requested that it would be assembled and delivered and paid additional $50 for this. The total with tax came to $400.57. Due to the fact that no one came and measured for the ladder, it is 1 and 1/2 ft. taller than the wall of the pool. In the instruction manual, it states that the ladder should not be used unless the ladder is tethered to the top of the pool, because it is so high that is impossible to do. We had inclement weather, so we did not use the ladder to enter the pool until the extremely hot day of July 6th. Upon exiting the pool, the ladder tipped and my wife fell onto our brick patio. She was scraped and the next day had several large bruises on her ankle and toes. When I talked to the salesman and the manager, they insisted that the store policy was no returns on pool ladders. The manager stated that our home owners insurance would wifes fall and it had nothing to do with their ladder. The bottom line is that I am stuck with a $400 ladder that is a hazard and liability for anyone who tries to use our pool.

      After visiting Surfside in *************, ** we bought chemicals to treat our pool. The next day our pool was a complete mess. Come to find out the service guy sold us PH plus when it really needed PH minus...he refused to take blame and said he would have never done that....3 days later he was still saying he would never have said that...well the products were sold to us we have proof. The manager will give us the PH minus but our pool is off the charts. Now they won't pay for more chlorine that the PH plus is eating up. Managers solution, shut pool off for 3 days!!! Not going to happen or we will have algae build up...or drain pool...not going to happen as our water bill will be sky high! Worst part is the man that sold us the chemicals and told us what to do is still saying he wouldn't have said/done that! Own up. We will NEVER EVER enter that establishment again. It will cost us a lot more money now to clear this mess up. Very very dissatisfied with the new owners of Surfside Pool.
