      I am writing in regards to an unexpected situation I found myself in this morning during a service call to replace my disposal. I have used **** Flaherty Plumbing since 2006 and have always received very good and honest service. The gentleman who came to my house to change out my disposal with one I provided asked if I had been given the estimate of the cost for this service. I said no, but I had the invoice from when a similar service had been provided in 2016 for $234 including the removal and recycling of the old disposal. When I heard that todays service was going to cost me $435, I called my husband and he told me not to have the disposal replaced. We have had several of the same services done by **** Flaherty Plumbing over the years and while pricing has gone up, it has NEVER doubled in the past 17 years. I was not happy and I really pressed the gentleman as to why there had been such a price increase, that was when I found out the company WAS NOT the same company I had worked with in the past despite the name on the truck, that there had been a change in ownership. When I called the office to say I would not be having the service done and why, I was told I should have received a notice regarding the change. I did not. I am very disappointed with my experience this morning and with this 'new' company.
