My girlfriend and I placed a $500.00 refundable deposit for an application to rent an apartment in *******, **. The fine print states if the application is cancelled within 48 hours or a denial is issued then the $500.00 would be refunded immediately. After we withdrew our application within the 48 hour policy, we contacted several representatives by ******** messenger, email, phone calls, left voicemail, etc and kept getting the run around. After a week and a half of stress and fearing that we became part of a fraudulent operation, it took a chain of several emails to different reps to get an answer for the refund. Finally, the refund was issued almost two weeks later and we're thankful it was resolved - but this company is incredibly unprofessional. If you call their office, it's only an answering service who can't actually help you with anything, so you have to pray that you can get in touch with someone there that has authority. I wonder how many $500 deposits have been stolen because some applicants out there didn't put the extra effort in that we did for something that was supposed to be simple, immediate, and automatic.

Taymil took over my apartment after signing the lease (unfortunately). Mismanagement of the property is an understatement. It started off with a solid month of calling with no response as to what parking spot we were assigned to (and paying $200/month for). Tenants fighting over who was supposed to be in what spot. Heat, which we could not control, was dangerously low during ****** *******, averaging around 58 degrees (illegal). Not to mention during COVID they decided to do construction on every apartment in our building and rather than pay to move ** out, just have ** live in that for 14 months. Construction began around 6AM and finished around 5 when some of ** worked from home. Our rent was not lowered during this time, it was raised. They also threw away our outdoor furniture. Oh not to mention when our toilet broke and they ** well have someone come on Monday it was Thursday during the pandemic with nowhere to go. We had one bathroom.

Taymil partners took over management of my apartment building about a year ago, and it has been extremely frustrating dealing with them. They are very unresponsive. I have submitted maintenance requests with no reply and I now have no heat on a record cold -10 degree day and there does not seem to be any urgency to fix it. Not to mention my rent has increased by 15% for the second time. Very unhappy.

I will preface this review by saying that I have lived in rentals for years up and down East Coast. When I needed to contact an office for maintenance on the rare occasion, every person I communicated with or who entered my home was typically helpful, professional, respectful and friendly. It made it easy to live in places where any maintenance issues were responded to with courtesy, competency and promptness. In my experience, it took on average ***** days and several reminder calls or emails to get maintenance to fix anything. Within 6 months, three blinds broke, the shower faucet began having a bad, constant leak (which took 10 days to get fixed). The screen for the sliding glass door came off the track, the towel rack in the bathroom kept falling off, the cabinet door in the kitchen totally fell off the bracket (I attempted to fix that multiple times but the hole needed wood putty repair to fit the screw); and a kitchen drawer kept falling apart. Each time, I was told maintenance didnt know when someone could fix these issues. I asked if I could hire someone privately and be reimbursed, and the answer was a flat, No. After 5 weeks of no one fixing a thing, I finally hired someone myself out of my own pocket. It took several months to get two sink clogs fixed. There are MANY incidents that I could list here, but there is a character limit - which might be a good thing. Suffice it to say, I have never had an experience quite like the one I had with Taymil Partners, LLC before in my life. They went through at least six employees in both the maintenance and leasing offices in the 18 months I was a tenant. I broke my lease, it was THAT bad.

Taymil properties refuses to uphold their end of the lease agreement and does not respond to tenant complaints about drug use on their property (************************************ purports that my almost daily encounters with weed smoke is only a smoking problem, which while acknowledging negligence on their part, is not inclusive of the fact that marijuana is federally classified as a schedule 1 substance). Just look up their 2020 lawsuittheyre not in the business of keeping tenants safely housed. Buyer(renter) beware.
