The problem is that A1 Used Auto Parts has not submitted the vehicle title for cancellation and "Junking or Scrapping a Motor Vehicle Form" to the *** as required by Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 90D 20E, and I need them to submit the title and form to the *** immediately. They were sold the vehicle 3 months ago and are required by law to file the form within ten days of the sale. On Sunday, June 17, 2024, I, as my mothers legal court-appointed representative, sold her 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport to ******* ******** at A1 Used Auto Parts to junk the vehicle. The title was transferred to A1 on June 17, and we removed the vehicle plates that day. Following the legal requirements, on June 24, we canceled the vehicle registration with the **** However, the registration is still active on the *** website, and A1 Used Auto Parts had not filed the necessary "Junking or Scrapping a Motor Vehicle" form as mandated by Massachusetts. Despite emailing the form to A1 Used Auto Parts twice on July 9 and then again on July 17, 2024, and repeated attempts by my sister to follow up via phone calls, the form was never filed. In response, A1 informed my sister that they would try to fill out and mail the form but have yet to do so. Despite continuous requests and reminders, A1 did not take action, and their uncooperative behavior continued. On August 14, Mr. ******** assured my sister that he would file the form and title that day. However, he did not do so. When I called A1 on September 3, 2024, I was met with rude and unhelpful behavior. ******* ******** told me to take the car back, insulted me, and suggested I try calling the police. He told me he would not submit the form because we had called him too often. According to the ***, and the title has not been surrendered, and the registration is still active as of Friday, September 13, 2024.

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint.  I have checked with the MA RMV and they have not received the title and required form so that the vehicle can be listed as junk.  It has now been over three months. This is a serious issue that remains unresolved.
